Supermarket rip off. Almost all the apples in this section were priced at an average of £2.25-2.70 per bag. The clubcard offer original price is WAY higher. Then cut to look good but actually ends up higher than other apples. When you see a club card price you may presume you’re getting the cheapest or a bargain. You’re not.
They mark the original price right up. Often they are their original price for less than the 50% of a sixth month period.
And it’s netting the supermarket billions. You’re getting a TINY proportion of that return in vouchers and realistically it’s simply a return. Not a freebie!. Small business employers are expected to compete with them on cost of goods, scale and living wage whilst farmers are routinely undercut and can say nothing!
