Yellow, blue AND pink… would you have put these colours together? 💐

This was such a lovely bouquet to design. My customer wanted yellow and blue flowers, but also asked me to include pink peonies.

It’s not necessarily a combination you’d immediately think of, but I absolutely love how these shades work together.

The soft blue adds something a little unexpected, while the yellow roses and pink peonies bring everything together.

I think this might just be one of my favourite bouquets yet! 🌸

Would you have chosen this colour combination? 👇

If you’re giving one of my cupcake bouquets as a gift, you can take the presentation one step further… 🎁🌸

These clear presentation boxes are available as an optional extra with my bouquets — and there’s a clever reason I particularly like them.

The sides arrive flat, which means I can slide the finished bouquet carefully into position before putting the box together around it. No trying to lower a delicate bouquet into a fully assembled box! 😅

Once it’s safely inside, I finish the box with one of my handmade bows.

And I think you’ll agree… it turns a cupcake bouquet into a pretty special-looking present. 💕

Would you choose yours boxed or unboxed?

Sometimes I think the individual cupcakes deserve their own moment before they disappear into the bouquet! 🌸

This 12-cupcake bouquet was created in soft shades of pink, lilac and white, with four different hand-piped floral designs.

I love seeing them all sitting separately before I start assembling — and then watching how completely different they look once they’re brought together as one bouquet.

Swipe to see the individual flowers… and where they eventually ended up. ➡️🌸

Which of the four would you pick first? 👀

One of my favourite parts of what I do is teaching other people how to create buttercream flowers for themselves. 🌸

And you absolutely don’t need to arrive already knowing what you’re doing.

My private lessons are very hands-on and completely tailored to you. We work together at your pace, and I can help with everything from getting your buttercream and piping technique right, through to creating the flowers and bringing everything together into a finished cupcake bouquet.

There’s something particularly lovely about that moment when someone pipes a flower they didn’t think they’d be able to do. ❤️

If you’ve been looking at my bouquets thinking “I’d love to learn how to do that”, I offer private one-to-one tuition here in Kent.

Just message me LEARN and I’ll send you the details. 🌸

A little glimpse at the less glamorous side of running a cupcake business… 😂

When I know I’ve got a busy few days coming up, I try to get as much done in advance as I possibly can.

I’ll make my bouquet structures, cut all the tissue and cellophane, pre-wrap them, add the bows, make up the boxes and get all my stickers on.

It means that once the cupcakes are baked and piped, everything else is sitting there ready to go. 🙌

It might not be the prettiest part of the job… but future me is ALWAYS very grateful! 😂🌸

Are you a prepare-everything-in-advance person… or a last-minute person?

There is definitely a little more planning involved in a cupcake bouquet than just finding 12 empty spaces! 😂🌸

Before I start assembling, I already have an idea of where I want each design to sit.

With this one I had four different cupcake designs, so I wanted to make sure the different flowers — and all those shades of pink, lilac, cream and green — were balanced throughout the bouquet.

Then I build it up gradually, checking how everything looks as I go.

And this time, I’m pleased to say the picture I had in my head actually worked! 😂

Would you have guessed there was this much thought behind where every cupcake goes?

12 cupcakes. 4 very different designs. But you can only choose ONE… 👀🌸

One of my favourite things about creating a Luxury cupcake bouquet is mixing different flower styles together.

Some are big statement flowers, some are much more delicate, and then there are those little garden cupcakes with several different flowers all squeezed onto one cake. 🌸

For this bouquet I used four main designs:

🌹 1 — Rose
🤍 2 — Allium
💜 3 — Dahlia
🌸 4 — Mini Garden

Individually they’re completely different, but put them all together and they become one bouquet.

So which cupcake are you choosing — 1, 2, 3 or 4? 👇

Neutral definitely doesn’t have to mean boring… 🤍🌿

When you’re working with a really limited colour palette like cream, ivory and soft green, you can’t rely on lots of different colours to create interest.

Instead, it becomes all about the flowers, shapes and textures.

Large statement roses alongside smaller roses, hydrangeas, tulips and lots of delicate little details all help to stop a neutral bouquet like this from feeling flat.

And actually, I think that’s one of the reasons I love these softer palettes so much — you really notice the individual flowers. 🤍

Would you choose something soft and neutral like this, or do you prefer your bouquets with lots of colour? 👇

“Cake is our thing… and they’re going to look so beautiful.” 💕

That’s what Lily’s mum, Kelly, told me when we were planning something special for her daughter’s 18th birthday.

Lily actually turned 18 on Valentine’s Day, and her mum had fallen in love with my flower cupcakes and wanted me to create a beautiful pink and white bouquet for her celebrations. 🌸

There was one request from Mum — she particularly loved the chrysanthemums! — but apart from that, she was happy to leave the design to me.

And because Lily had guests celebrating with her, we created coordinating cupcakes and minis to go alongside the bouquet too.

One of the loveliest parts of making something like this is hearing what happened after it left my kitchen.

Kelly messaged me afterwards to say she’d had a very excited phone call from Lily and her husband about how incredible everything was. 🥹💕

That’s always the bit that makes my day.

What a lovely way to celebrate turning 18. 🌸🎂
