Yesterday was a very special day for Grand Lanka Catering ( The Village Bakery ) The Village Bakery🤍

We had the honour of catering for over 100 guests at Doctor Fanando’s funeral, arranged through a valued returning customer who trusted us once again with such an important occasion.

We are truly overwhelmed with gratitude. Every single person gave us amazing feedback — 100% positive. So many guests asked for our business cards and said they would highly recommend our catering and service. They mentioned the generous portions, the quality, and how much they enjoyed every dish.

One customer once asked us, “What’s your secret? It tastes like home.”
And today, we heard the same words again —
“It tastes like a meal made by mum… by grandmother… so authentic.”

So here is our answer 🤍

Our secret is simple.
We make our own curry powder using our treasured family recipe, lovingly passed down through generations. Every spice is roasted and blended by us, just like it has been in our family for years. That is where the true, authentic Sri Lankan flavour comes from.

At the end of the day, our greatest happiness isn’t just serving food — it’s hearing your beautiful feedback. Seeing guests pack extra portions to take home in containers because they want to enjoy those flavours again today …that means everything to us.
