Good morning!

I'm back mixing and shaping doughs and loaves today in preparation for reopening on Wednesday after my hols. Hope you've survived ok without my baked goods!

As it's a new month, I also thought I'd give you a heads up on a few things.

Firstly, I'm open as normal down at Sneinton Market Avenues this week, and I'm also due to be at The Garage Chilwell on Sunday. Hope to see you there!

Being at the market on Sunday does mean I'll be closed on Wednesday 10th, but I'll be open the rest of the week as usual (trying to take better care of myself and avoid burning out, especially now it's warming up in the bakery).

It'll then be the week of the Nottingham Craft Beer Festival in the Avenues. I'm planning to bake as much as I can for the Saturday session on the 20th - after all, drinkers need carbs to line their stomachs. I'll still be open in the morning as normal that day too.

I'll then round out June with a normal week of trading.

That's the plan for the weeks ahead. Hope to see you all soon 🙏

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT

NOT LONG TO GO UNTIL ITS SNEINTON FESTIVAL-ON THE WATER.
BEFORE WE KNOW IT IT WILL BE HERE! SO IN TRUE SNEINTON FESTIVAL SPIRIT... HERES OUR 1ST FESTIVAL WORKSHOP THIS WEEK! ITS ONE NOT TO MISS.....
We're running a free creative workshop on Saturday 6th June as part of the Sneinton Festival and we'd love you to come.

What will we be doing?
You'll design your very own Water Spirit, a mischievous imaginary creature that protects the river and take revenge on those that don't (shock horror). It can look however you want. Strange, beautiful, funny, fierce. Totally up to you.

You're Water Spirit will be made as a foil artwork drawing, using a simple technique that looks really striking and is satisfying to do. No drawing experience needed at all. The foil does a lot of the magic for you.

Your finished piece then gets attached to a specially made walking pole in a water-inspired shape. On festival day, the poles will be carried through the Sneinton Festival parade, so your spirit becomes part of something bigger!

Good morning!

Hope you've all been surviving OK in this heat. I for one am glad to not be baking this week in this!!!

Just a reminder that Breadmill is closed this week as it's the school hols. I'll be back open from Wednesday 3 June, as long as it's cooled down a bit!

In the meantime, here are some photos of baked goods to drool over. We had a very enjoyable trip to Companio Bakery in Manchester yesterday - great to see my old chums Neil and Baneta and the team going from strength to strength. Keep up the great work! 💪

Good morning!

Just to let you know that there's just 3 more days in which to get baked goods from me in May.

I'll be closed on Wednesday this week (20th) and then open Thursday, Friday and Saturday down at Sneinton Market Avenues, so make sure to stock up on the good stuff.

I'll then be closed next week as it's the school hols, and back baking on Wednesday 3 June.

It's super busy at the bakery this morning, so I'd recommend getting down soon before it all goes!

I've also got the amazing Foxglove and Fennel Flower Co outside selling their beautiful UK-grown bouquets. They're also disappearing too!
