The Shadow Formula The Shadow Formula is a play set in London in 1938 where an innocent reprobate finds himself drawn into a dark, Hitchcockian underworld of spies and assassins.

Victoria Station. 1938. A lone man, Cary Donat, stands waiting on the platform edge, steam surrounding him like a hellish cloud, the discordant sounds of the station crashing around him. A shadow falls across him. A beautiful women rushes into his arms. They talk. The almost kiss and then - Bang - A gunshot reverberates across the station and the lights go out. Our story begins. The Shadow Formula

contains all the elements of a classic Hitchcockian spy thriller, with heart-pumping chases all over London, glamorous femme fatales caught in solitary lamp light and dastardly foreign spies emerging from the shadows to strike down those who can uncover the truth - The truth about The Shadow Formula. Will our hero, an innocent man accused of a murder he did not commit clear his name and avenge the ones he loved or will the man in the shadows, the man pulling the strings behind it all complete his mission and endanger the whole country? As the plot snakes its way forward, twisting and turning in on itself the only way to find out is to watch to the last gasp.

The Shadow Formula, an original script, will be Theatrica Ludos' first theatre production and is planned to perform early to mid 2012. Theatrica Ludos was founded by David Roberts and Tomas Martinsen-Hickman in 2011. It was founded on the idea of being a professional theatre company for aiding actors with minimal experience get into the acting world. Theatrica Ludos is aimed at giving actors and actresses of all ages, trained or untrained a chance to be involved in a professional production.
