If you died tonight, your employer would have a job advert to fill your role by the end of the month. But your friends and family would miss you forever.

Don’t get so busy on making a living that you forget to work on making a life.

New and improved revamped website alḥamdulillāh! Finally!

I recall website building as part of my college assignment 10 years ago, but did not go on to expand my knowledge in the area. For the first time since, I’ve witnessed how much hard work and effort goes into building a fully functioning website. May Allāh reward our web designer abundantly, for the long hours and patience. Āmīn!

Qurrah al-ʿAyn

It means the comfort of one’s eye.

Our Beloved Messenger ﷺ used this phrase when speaking of Ṣalāh.

He ﷺ said: The comfort of my eyes lies in Ṣalāh.

Explanation:

Ṣalāh was the most beloved deeds to the Messenger ﷺ because it comprised of worship, recognition of Allāh ﷻ and speaking to Him.

While in Ṣalāh, the Prophet ﷺ would be at the pinnacle of happiness, pleasure and serenity.

Ibn ʿAṭā’ رحمه الله was asked: Is this specifically for our Prophet ﷺ or do others experience it?

He said: One gains comfort in Ṣalāh according to the amount of his recognition and love for Allāh ﷻ.

Therefore, our Prophet ﷺ has the highest status in this regard.
