Leopard print stiletto heel cake

This cake was literally my Achilles heel! The first time I’ve made a cake where I thought the shoe isn’t going to dry in time!

When I make decorations for cakes, I start early so that they have time to dry. The cake itself is baked as close to delivery as possible to keep it fresh. (That’s why last minute orders aren’t possible).

When I made this shoe it just wouldn’t dry! I tried everything I could think of (short of using pastillage - which isn’t fun to work with). I contacted a very understanding client and let her know the situation (I had plan b and c ready just in case). Luckily my panic was in vain and the shoe dried (at about day 4) which meant I could complete the decorations and make it safe for the journey and the party!

Morale of the story, early prep in important and trust the process. Also if anyone wants a stiletto shoe cake, only advance orders please!

Descendants birthday cake for princess Myla!

I’ve been so lucky to make Myla’s cakes from baby shower to communion and birthdays too (only missing out 2020). I’m so grateful to be asked each time and so excited at what she’ll ask for.

This was so fun, Disney’s Descendants. I love the dark princess cakes.

The most decadent chocolate cake to date. Rich chocolate cake with Nutella and Nutella buttercream, topped with Ferraro Rochers. This one is for the hardcore chocolate lovers.

Topped with blue florals. I couldn’t believe my luck finding these beautiful blue flowers. I have no idea what they are (a cross between an orchid and snap dragon - they’re probably dyed blue) anyone know what they are?

I think this is my prettiest cake to date.
