The idea begins with us wanting to bring our people together. As a community....., as a FAMILY! a new
begining for 2011 onwards. If not in the real world, then we are hoping to do this in our virtual world here at SeychellesAffairs.com. "The grumpy old men and women, together with the young and the restless, working together for a better tomorrow..." How we became SeychellesAffairs.com.....
We often reminisce, on many occassions of our times growing up or on those holidays, (oh how things has changed!...we could of done so much with a camcorder, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, mySpace....etc back then.) With all this said, the Seychellois music is at the heart of it all. The music, the memories, the food, has brought us all together. It always stikes a cord when you have one of those tapes (uhum....I mean cds...or is it mp3s/4s) playing from the classics...(always on top of the list..) to the new comers, the younsters today also plays a good part to it all. Seychelles is home and will remain in our hearts always. Young or Old, the music does play a role in striking those cords for the Seychellois people living home or away. They do say, "home is where the heart is..." As a group, we have always had great discussions and debates about the ins and outs of home and we intend to share all of this with you the people of Seychelles and we hope that you would also join us in these discussions. After all, "in sickness and in health, for better or worst..." Our contract with the Seychelles is signed and sealed once born of the Seychelles. We are PROUD Seychellois!!! There is NO PLACE like home....
We are VERY protective of our little Seychelles, and in the event of any disasters it almost always pulls more then one of those heart strings. We LOVE our country!!! How much do you love your country? After the music comes the photos and videos. All this has major impact on our memories of home. It all tugs us a little closer to the idea of packing our bags to come home. If not for good then for a little while at least. The final hook line and sinker to all the reminiscing is the FOOD. Just another thought on the subject gets the siliva flowing. You know what we are talking about...;-)
Send in your suggestions, your favourites that reminds you of "home sweet home" (This could be a whole meal, a snack, desserts etc...) or if your amongst those lucky ones still living at home, then send us your favourites which you cannot live without right now. Share those vibes...and spread the word...
