Lucinda Sanford LTD

Lucinda Sanford LTD Lucinda Sanford offers a full build, design and project-management service. This ‘start to finish’ approach is what makes us unique. All build work is complex.

We offer more than conventional project managers or interior designers, who provide a single service that requires clients to obtain help from different professional sources. By contrast, Lucinda Sanford is a one-stop shop, capable of overseeing a project from inception to completion. As the point of contact for clients from the start to end of a project, we aim to reduce the complexity of contrac

ts and to streamline the entire process. We offer a full planning service, which includes submitting planning applications. Where additional specialists are required, we have technical advisors and specialists, with whom we work closely, to assist with any further demands from local boroughs. We also have engineers and surveyors who can help to evolve the plans into structural designs. As a contractor and designer, Lucinda Sanford is committed to producing exceptional and dynamic projects. However, if clients wish to work with another contractor, we are happy to manage, liaise and coordinate with them. We also welcome the opportunity to work as part of a wider team in cases where a client has a historic relationship with an architect or designer. In circumstances like these, the goal is to work together to produce the trademark level of detail that characterises all our projects. Our level of management, combined with our practical approach and desire to produce beautiful interior design, mean we are well equipped to be the ‘master builder’ of projects both residential and commercial. Our knowledge of on-site building work, as well as the outstanding management and service we give our clients, makes us masters of building homes and developments.

We completed this project in Chelsea earlier on this year and it was all about elevating the existing space through thoughtful, detailed design.

We introduced downstands, brass rails and softened corners to improve the flow and functionality of the storage areas, strategically positioned sockets in the hall area to allow the dresser to double as a dressing table, making the most of every inch. In the bathroom, carefully placed partition walls helped to maximise usable space.

We also re-positioned the vanity to discreetly screen the loo from the corridor and wrapped corners throughout the room to create a cohesive, inviting feel.

Every decision was intentional, working together to create a space that feels considered, functional and effortlessly homely.

December is upon us and with that comes the inevitable switch to Christmas themes across social media and out and about on the streets. It’s a time that we really love!

Here are some favourite finds, including:
🎄 - dried fruits, foliage and evergreens creating the cosiest space
🎄 - the wreath of dreams placed over the fireplace
🎄 - these oversized fabric bows are so charming
🎄 - showing us how less really can be more!
🎄 - love these gorgeous stockings placed asymmetrically on the fireplace
🎄 - wonderful example of using unusual colours like blue and white

Who’s started decorating for Christmas already?

Sometimes the best views come from knowing what shouldn’t be on show.

While letting natural light flood a room with large windows is often a huge advantage, thoughtfully blocking certain parts of the view might help to hide less appealing surroundings and frame the most beautiful elements, giving you a curated, calmer outlook, particularly in a busy city.

This approach is especially useful in urban areas, where neighbouring houses can crowd the view. By screening the less attractive parts, you can highlight the sky, treetops, or other serene elements outside.

Can you guess what colour combinations are hiding in these fabrics?

Using bold, colourful fabrics instantly lifts a space and adds personality. Contrasting or even clashing colours create visual energy, make a room feel more curated, bringing a sense of playfulness that neutral palettes can’t always achieve.

When layered thoughtfully, unexpected colour pairings can completely transform a room and make fabrics the true storytellers of your design.

Which colour combo surprised you the most?

A kitchen design tip that reduces clutter and looks great? Deep drawers ☑️

They fit all your pans, look beautifully clean from the outside, and you can even add a hidden inner drawer for smaller bits to make the most of the space.

Maximum style, maximum storage - that’s a win in our books!

It’s the little things that make a room feel like home or add character to a space ⚡️

A quirky mirror, unexpected textured fabric, a pop of colour on a chair, a lamp with personality, fun-shaped tiles, and even the tiniest details on banisters - these are the little tricks that can bring a space to life and differentiate it from what anyone else has in their home!

A little hack to help create a seamless finish… 🪄

Rather than using traditional fabric walling techniques, try having your fabric backed and using this on your walls instead.

It isn’t appropriate in every room, but where it is, it creates a smooth, seamless finish that feels effortlessly cohesive, while also being cost-effective and avoiding those tricky colour differences between walls and curtains.

Doors, doors everywhere and what to do with them all?!

We are delighted to introduce you to a recently completed project in Fulham, which has seen a total transformation from it’s small 50s ‘white box’ state (wait til you see the before picture!) - into a characterful and efficient space that gives the new owner so much joy.

We’ve got a series of videos to follow from this property over the coming weeks, but we hope you enjoy this little sneak peek at what we’ve been working on, and why we made some of the design decisions that we have...
