Do you want to surprise your loved ones with a bespoke, one of a kind cake? All we need is your brief, tell us a bit about your loved one and we’ll put all the elements together to create a truly special cake for them.
For this little one, the brief was: 30th birthday for a young Irish lady who loves her grey cat (even got a picture of the cat sent over).

You can give us as many or as little details as you want and we’ll make sure to reflect them in your cake.

The more random and outside of the box they are, the more fun we have creating them 🥳🥳🥳

We have officially started taking 2023 summer wedding bookings. We now have limited availability in May, June and September, so please get in touch sooner rather than later.

We offer a virtual 30 mins consultation with 3 cake samples in the flavours of your choice. You can even add an extra flavour I’d you can’t decide which ones to try.

In the consultation I will want to learn more about your wedding plans and about you and your other half to make sure I can create the perfect cake for you.

At this wedding, the bride was going to wear pearls and her veil also had pearls so we wanted to reflect the pearls theme in the cake to match her outfit.

One last time making cakesicles this summer/autumn before it gets cold. They’re just so much more fun in the summer!

Sugar flowers are one of the most beautiful wedding cake decorations.
The do take a looong time to make and require lots of skill which is why they tend to be on the pricier end of cake decorations.
That is one of the reasons why fresh flowers have become more popular in recent times but remember, sugar flowers last a lifetime. Once they’ve been made, you can treasure them forever.
Tip: put them in a transparent glass box and place them as decor in your house. That way, when walking past them, you’ll always have a little reminder of your special day 🥰🥰

Now I’m curious… What do you prefer sugar flowers or fresh flowers??
There’s no right or wrong… Both are beautiful options 💗💗💗💐🌺

Exactly one year ago from today I had the privilege to be a small part of a beautiful couple’s wedding day. Emily and David’s special day started at St. Margaret’s church and continued with big celebrations at the Sheraton with a SamCakes bespoke cake. Designed to represent the couple and their beautiful wedding day. Today marks their 1 year anniversary. Happy anniversary!!! & David!

I’m what flavours do they come?
Since cakesicles are crumbled sponges of cake, mixed with a bit of icing, your flavour options are endless. Whatever flavoured cake you can bake, you can also create a cakesicle!
Little secret: I like mixing it with different flavoured icing to make them taste more exciting 😉

How do I store them?
I personally like keeping them in the fridge, in their packaging.
That’s what makes them so great for the summer! You get a cooled down moist cake covered in chocolate. What more could you want, right?

Because the content is sponge, mixed with icing, they are not just a sponge. The mixture is a bit more wet/ moist and let’s you create different forms with it. It’s like making a protein ball 😎

1. What are cakesicles?
A cakesicle is basically a sponge which gets crumbled and then mixed with frosting and then covered in chocolate. They can also come with nice flavoured surprises inside, such as strawberry compote, chocolate ganache, chocolate chips, caramel etc.

Gold 🥇and blue 💙 - Royal colours and a perfect winter theme.
This cake is made out of our moist chocolate fudge cake… it’s sooo moist, it’s almost like a huge brownie 🤤
This is the perfect, indulgent feel good flavour for cold days 😊
