Simple foliage on your wedding cake can make just as much of a statement as adorning it with a hundred flowers.

I love the colour combination of the fondant stone effect covering the cake with the tones of the eucalyptus.

When it comes to designing your cake there are so many paths to go down. It doesn’t need to be a boring white cake sat in the corner with no one admiring it.

So, what do you think about this one? I would love to know your thoughts.

I absolutely love it. For me, a wedding cake doesn’t need to match the flowers that you are having in your bridal bouquet, it can be a piece of edible art that ties all of your design elements together.

It can be a stand alone focal point that has little nods here and there to tie everything in. In this case it was the most beautiful pear shaped diamond engagement ring that gave me the inspiration for this design. Something that beautiful deserves to be included.

Would you like something a little different on your cake stand, if so, I may just be your perfect cake designer.
