Only 2 days to until our trip to People's History Museum for Women's History Month - make sure you book your free space!
Are you a student activist and have a passion for creating change? Join UCLan Through the Ages, UCLan History Society and UCLan Feminist Society on a trip to the People’s History Museum in Manchester for a FREE workshop!
The Art of Protest workshop will:
1. Take you on a journey through the history and techniques of protest art using the museum's collection of protest banners.
2. Encourage you to think critically around the subject of protest and how it links to contemporary themes from the student movement.
3. Inspire you to create your own piece of protest art about an issue that is important to you!
There will also be an opportunity to take a look around the museum, which holds the largest collection of political material in Britain, spanning working people’s demand for a better world to organisations that represented them. This is a brilliant opportunity for any students interested in democracy, civil rights, politics and making change.
Due to the nature of the workshop there is only a limited number of places so book on today!
