I've got two summery sweet specials for you this June: strawberry buns made with homemade strawberry jam and a custard flavoured butter/sugar swirl, topped with a fruity strawberry icing, and lemon white chocolate cookies, which are basically like a zesty lemon drizzle cake in cookie form (+white chocolate because I love it with anything lemony). New month, new specials, like this New Potato and Parsley Pesto Focaccia topped with buttery Jersey Royals and an herby parsley and walnut pesto (part of me feels that if I'm using Jersey produce, I should have gone full Bergerac and done a "Nettles" pesto, but I don't really want to forage for nettles for the sake of a pun that probably only I think is funny). Also, please note that I will be open next week, but closed the week of the 14th of May.

Hot cross buns may be gone for the year, but I've replaced them with almond buns so you can still get your fill of buttery soft buns (although as a raisin hater I have to admit that I much prefer these to HCBs)! These fluffy buns with a hint of orange zest are swirled with a sweet almond frangipane and topped with a vanilla glaze and toasted almonds. Available til the end of April.

My hot cross buns will be available for two more weeks (I'll do them the week after Easter too), so you've got plenty of time to get your fill of those this year, but next week will be your only chance to try my new savoury HCBs - cheesy garlic hot cross buns! These are made with cheddar and provolone cheese and plenty of garlic, topped with cheesy bechamel crosses, and finished with even more garlic butter. Don't worry, there's no raisins involved in these, just a purely savoury bun. πŸ‡

Just posting an unrelated picture of orchids to say that I'm afraid I'm going to need to close next week (12th March) - apologies for the short notice! I will be back open on the 19th with plenty of hot cross buns, pistachio chocolate chunk cookies and lots more (and will open orders for the 19th on the evening of the 12th - hope that's not too confusing).

Cha cha cha, ciabatta is back this month! This airy bread with a floury crust makes an awesome base for sandwiches, especially anything Italian inspired, and if you want to take it to the next level, throw the ciabatta back in the oven for a few minutes with a bit of water to create steam so the crust gets extra crispy (though it's still totally delicious if you can't be bothered with all of that!). I make very limited quantities of this each week, so order early if you want one!

Garlic Bread Focaccia is back! πŸ§„This is one of my favourites - ultra garlicky and buttery and finished with a grating of pecorino and a sprinkling of fresh parsley (because adding a hint of green lets me pretend it's healthy πŸ˜†) And with Valentine's Day coming up, why not enjoy it as part of a meal with someone you love? New cookies for February! I've gone with a classic this time - cranberry and white chocolate, and I certainly don't believe in skimping on either key ingredient, so these big, buttery cookies are packed full of melty pools of creamy white chocolate and chewy dried cranberries.

Maple pecan granola is back next week! It's made with real Canadian maple syrup, which perfectly complements the toasty pecans and seeds and makes the granola extra crunchy. This is actually my favourite granola (but don't tell the honey nut granola, which I also love - there's just something about those pecans that makes this one extra tasty). 🍁
