💕 NANA NOOS — NINE DAYS AT THE HALFWAY HOUSE… WHAT A RIDE! 💕
Well, where do I even begin? 🥹💗
The last nine days have honestly been some of the hardest and longest days for Nana Noo, but also some of the most rewarding, and I just want to take a minute to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! 🩷
After a whole week of prepping, baking and convincing myself that I was organised and had enough stock to last four or five days, I reckon I sold five days’ worth of bakes in the first TWO NIGHTS! 😂🤦♀️
So, every single night, I’ve gone home at around 10pm, had a coffee, and started baking all over again! Night after night, it’s been a constant cycle of baking, sleeping (when I could!), getting up and doing it all again.
Nine days at the Halfway House, and we’ve had everything thrown at us. Busy nights, manic nights, rain, sunshine and even HAILSTONES! 🌧️☀️🌨️ But regardless of the weather, you’ve still come out, found us and supported us.
And I haven’t done it alone. ❤️
My lovely dad (at 75 years young may i add) has stood by my side every single day, serving you all while I’ve practically been falling asleep on my feet! 😂❤️ He’s been an absolute star, and I honestly couldn’t have done it without him.
We’ve been at the Halfway House fair week for THREE YEARS now, and it’s so lovely to see how many of you have made visiting us part of your own little traditions. Whether it’s coming for your cake and custard, grabbing your favourite bakes, having a pint and a chit-chat, or simply popping over to say hello, it means more to me than you probably realise. 🥹💕
As you know, we have our lovely Cake & Pudding Pod, but unfortunately, we just couldn’t fit it in, so we returned to the gazebo. We’ve made the most of the little space we had, and somehow we’ve managed to squeeze in all those bakes and serve as many of you as possible!
A HUGE thank you to Claire, Dan and all the staff at the Halfway House for making us feel so welcome, as you always do. It’s been lovely being back with you all. 💗
And to every single customer who bought a cake, stopped for a chat, came back for more, recommended us to friends, or simply took the time to support our little business — THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.
Small businesses really do rely on people like you. Every purchase, every share, every kind word and every familiar face makes a difference. You aren’t just buying a cake; you’re helping me keep Nana Noos going, and I will never take that for granted. 🩷
Now, after nine days of very little sleep and a LOT of baking, I think I might need to catch up on a bit of rest! 😂☕️
But don’t worry, I’m not disappearing for long! We’ve got plenty more to look forward to…
