Last loaf of September …. Off to hibernate for a few weeks …. A massive thank you to everyone who supports our little bakery !! Your joy over our baked goods is so lovely …. So many mornings we baked with no idea who might need bread and buns … and for the most part we sold pretty much all the bakes … day after day… and that’s pretty special. …

The temperatures are dropping and the way we bake has to change …. Each loaf is a miracle of flour, starter, seeds and water and judging the mix, the hydration and the temperature of the water is key 🔑 🌾🤎💛🧡

Saturday : seeded sourdough / white loaves / jalapeno cheddar or cheddar marmite loaf. And buns / cappuccino buns and cardamom buns

Happy times for 2 bakers ! What a happy, sad feeling when your right hand woman has to go back home to Yorkshire and then back to Sheffield Uni….. we have Baked morning after morning through July and August and I remained standing mostly because Emmeline was there as the second in command ….. egg washing pastries, double cream glazing buns …. Printing stickers, loading the van, unloading the van …. Picking pre orders so we manage to keep back baked goods for those who messaged in their orders…. All with a lovely smile and lots of calm, thoughtful hard work.

Thank you Emmeline for such a lot of early mornings and so many buns and pastries !!!! Hope you come back soon 🧡💛🤎🩵💙
