Last night, Emma met Amy and Jasmine from Blankets for Ipswich.
Inspired by Craft Forward Blankets for the World they launched a community project to make blankets for families via Suffolk Refugee Support.
Anyone can knit or crochet a 20cm x 20cm square of any colour or design and it will be added to a blanket. Or you can make a whole blanket of 7 by 5 squares.
If you fancy making any squares, bring them along to the next Crafty Yarn and Emma will pass them on for you.
This will be an ongoing project next year, so you can bring a square to any future Crafty Yarn session.
Also if you are having a clear out of knitting needles, crochet hooks or yarn anytime the prjoect can make use of these and you can drop them at a Crafty Yarn.
