Sooooo many children have wanted my BIG cake pots at markets and are often told no because they’d waste it. 🥺

BUT…. I decided that I would do mini cake pots for the Summer Fair at Ilfracombe Junior School NEXT THURSDAY!

Your kiddies will have the choice between these 2 mini Squishmallow Cake Pots…. Chocolate Cam OR Vanilla Lola. 🥹🥰😍

They’re gonna be adorable! ☺️ Oh and btw, they’re gonna be made with gluten free ingredients too!🥳

I finally finished the big challenge I had.

There are many aspects to this cake I hadn’t done before, between the size, a square ribbed design, triple ganache combo etc. I am glad I done it in spite of my pain and swollen feet limiting my ability to stand for long periods. 😅🫣

I see imperfections and know the things I could do to improve or make it easier the next time I take on a cake like this. But I am relieved and chuffed with how I managed to make it look. I just hope my professional caterer customer is happy with it, that’s all that matters to me. I hope I executed his vision in a way that pleases him after 50+ years as a caterer who’s now retired! 😊🥰

It 4 layer alternating between chocolate and vanilla filled with milk chocolate ganache, crumb coated in white chocolate ganache, ribbed sides with white chocolate ganache, topped with dark chocolate ganache, the strawberries and printed fondant topper. 12”x12” square approximately 7/8” high.

Phew. 😮‍💨 It’s done. 👍🏼

IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR Wonderful Women - FREE drop in support group & VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!

I have resisted from stopping the group as I love my ladies, and it’s so good for women to meet together and uplift each other every week.💖 Butttttt my body is demanding that I put myself first as I go into the last month of my pregnancy. 😩🥲

I will be having a break from running Wonderful Women very soon. My last session will be 7th July at Belle's Place 10:30am-12/12:30pm. We will be having a little celebration together so ladies do come along.🥳

If there is a lovely lady looking to volunteer for a month or 2 max, only once a week for a couple of hours then please get in touch. I’d love to have the group still running in my absence as a safe space for women to discuss life and meet together.

I will likely pop my head in every so often to check in with you all and bring my little boy in to meet you all too. 💖

Although I won’t be in the position to provide cake every week, I will still provide what’s needed for hot chocolate and some biscuits so you won’t all be without. 🥰

I’ve had mixed emotions from people about me not continuing! I have many gutted I’m not going to be doing anymore farmers markets or fairs🥹, and many of you telling me off for continuing for so long despite the swollen feet 🦶🏼 and the constant pain. 😅😬

I am finally listening 👂 and taking a well needed break after this summer school fair !🌞 So if you see me crying it’s likely because I’m going to miss you all every month and the hormones are taking over.🥲😭 I will be back when I have recovered and baby boy will likely make an appearance at future events too! 👶🏻👩‍🍼💖💖

I’ve taken on my biggest cake order to date. What other bakers get anxious as well as excited when they get a new challenge?!

This isn’t just a challenge though, it’s for a previous caterer who was in the business 50+ years! I’ve been recommended by a fellow baker and cake maker who was unable to take on the order and I feel so many emotions! 😬🤣

I feel privileged to be able to do such a special cake for this customer.

I feel blessed that I was recommended by someone I’ve looked up to, and who actually inspired me to start baking again a few years ago.

I feel soooooooooooo anxious because it’s a BIGGGGGG cake and I want to do my absolute best to help this customers vision come to life.

BUT I feel soooooooo excited that I have a new challenge to take on, and I have a feeling that this cake will be absolutely delicious. 🤤 (My customers do have amazing taste. )👅

What a day! Dulce De Luxe Pots are done now too and they really are a deluxe dessert! ✅

All prep done for cookies and sausage rolls, just baking them one lot at a time. I wish I had 2 ovens!!🥲🥹

My ‘plain’ sausage rolls have just finished baking, the sausage and shallot rolls which you all love are currently in the oven, followed by the vegan and gluten free cookies this evening which are currently chilling. 😎👌🏼😋🍪

I’m going miss you lovely lot for a few months at my farmers markets. I hope to see as many of you as I can tomorrow before my maternity break. I appreciate your support over the past year. 🙏🏼💖
