Finally, Lewis turned 16! Combined in one cake, his 2 loves, Carrot cake (complete with raisins & walnuts) & a Lamborghini car.
8" Carrot cake with cream cheese buttercream inside, outside all white chocolate ganache with blue vanilla buttercream.
Edible prints used for the car & logo, macarons, decorative balls & handpainted gold white choc ganache drip.

3rd for a 21st birthday, this 6" white & black heart Lambeth style buttercream cake.
Inside vanilla sponge with jam and buttercream, outer white chocolate ganache and of course finished in buttercream.
(Given the extreme temperatures, I used less buttercream inside & did not extend fully to the edges to prevent 'buttercream bulging' as it softened in the heat.)

Good morning everyone!
Wow! Every baker who struggled this week in the UK with the heat & temperatures in the 30's, making cakes with NO aircon, we did it!
Melting, soft buttercream & oily ganache going soft (even with increased chocolate ratio) and soft sticky fondant, it felt like the longest week ever! Somehow, ALL 4 cakes left in tact.
First was this Mickey Mouse & friends themed cake for Ava's 5th birthday..
8" cake in Lemon sponge with lemon curd and lemon buttercream, covered in white chocolate ganache and fondant icing..

The final cake this week for a surprise party for Reice turning 21.. He is studying to be a Doctor, likes to play chess...

The final cake this week for a surprise party for Reice turning 21.. He is studying to be a Doctor, likes to play chess & likes a JD's..
His cake was also huge! 8" cake with 6 x Vanilla sponges with jam & buttercream.
His cake was also covered in white chocolate ganache.. (the heat was already starting to affect his cake once it was finished) 😢
I split his cake with chess on one side & Doctor jacket on the other side, with pen in pocket...
With stethoscope & handmade chess pieces on top, not forgetting the miniature JD's..

2nd cake was Huge! For Alkesh, turning 50. His 9" cake had 6 layers of sponge, half vanilla with jam & buttercream & half chocolate sponge with Choc buttercream.. then the whole cake was covered in white choc ganache, outer layer coloured in black with a stencil design & edible print.

Good morning everyone, After returning from Albania just a week ago, 3 cakes in, it feels like I've never been away! 🤣 (Pics to follow)..
It was straight back to baking for Melonie's 40th birthday..
Her 6" cake in Chocolate sponge with vanilla buttercream, covered in white chocolate ganache and fondant icing..
To include a handbag, makeup & jewelry..
Everything was handmade, incl the rose and the handbag was made from rice krispie treats.

Finally, 4th cake was for Krystal's 40th birthday.. 6" Vanilla sponge with strawberry jam and buttercream, the outer had a base of white choc ganache and buttercream.
It was dressed with artificial flowers (which I think made the cake)🥰
