Sarah's Sweets & Treats

Sarah's Sweets & Treats Home baker My Name is Sarah Azzopardi, I’m a stay at home mum with two children (3 year old and 1 year old).

After years of feeding all my friends and family my sweets and Treats it was suggested that I actually sell them! I'm always open to people’s ideas, so if there is something you would like me to make please just ask! Most of my items will travel well so I can post items via Royal Mail 2nd Class recorded delivery. I will pack all items as safely as possible but I can NOT take responsibility for what happens after the box leaves my hands.

Rocky road Slow cooker fudge

First Slow cooker fudge!

Pretty pleased with it ❤️

I made Rocky Road using the following:

200g Milk Chocolate
200g Plain Chocolate
100g White Chocolate
1 tin condensed milk
5 Digestive Biscuits
Half a bag of Mini Marshmallows
(Optional - I added some toffees I had in the cupboard)

1. Put the chocolate and condensed Milk in a slow cooker for 15 mins on High (till melted).
2. Change to low for 30 min. Stirring every 15 min.
3. When ready stir in the biscuits and marshmallows.
4. Using a ladle or spoon , scoop the mix in moulds/ tray.

Leave over night in the fridge to set. Or if you are impatient like me;
- put in freezer for an hour (slice up - should still be soft but more solid)
- Leave in fridge for 1-2 more hours. Or just eat it 🤣

It started off as a conversation about Hot chocolate bombs. It then turned into an experiment, to see if I could actually do it.
It then turned into people placing orders...

If anyone else is interested in hot chocolate bombs (and unicorn bombs - for those that don’t like hot chocolate), I am making them £3 each.

- milk chocolate with hot chocolate
- white chocolate with hot chocolate
- white chocolate with Strawberry flavouring

I’m now based in Horley.

Messed about with Mirror glaze for my daughter birthday this weekend. Not as hard as I expected to make it. She loved the galaxy effect we went for!

So my youngest has been suffering stomach pains. The doctor has put her on a wheat, Dairy and Gluten free diet as they think it’s a food allege.
She is a big fan of cookies. Buying free from is turning out to be expensive. So this morning we baked together to see what we can come up with.
These are sugar cookies just using gluten free flour, dairy free butter, sugar and a tablespoon of Coconut oil.
On there own they are edible but very powdery. Adding the free from chocolate helps and she seems to like them.
Still want to keep trying to make it less powdery.

Basic cookie recipe:

4 oz butter
4 oz sugar
8 oz self raising flour
1 egg or dash of milk (or 1 tablespoon of coconut oil)
Chocolate chunks

1. Mix butter, sugar and flour together with your fingers. Make it look like breadcrumbs.
2. Stir in egg/milk/oil
3. Combine with your hands.
(Add chunks now if doing them)
4. Make small balls and flatten them on a baking tray.

Bake at 170. They cook fast and the bottoms will burn. Cooks in 5-15 mins depending on the size you do. Keep an eye on them.

Gum drop fudge recipe I sent out locally. You could always change the gum drops for other jelly type items (gummy bears, fruit pastles, wine gums).
Enjoy!
