💕🌸Beautiful wedding 🌸💕
First and foremost huge congratulations to my lovely couple A and S.
Tied the knot yesterday at Barns at Redcoats on one of the hottest days on record.
I caught a glimpse of the bride and you looked stunning.
When you book your summer wedding you hope for fine weather but my goodness no one orders a heatwave.
I absolutely loved the pretty Summer pastels with a few vibrant pops chosen here.
The whole vibe was fun and relaxed.
Every interaction with this gorgeous couple was calm and I thank you both for choosing me to create your cakes for the big day. 💕
Now this is a tale of two halves.
Working with buttercream in this heat was obviously challenging and I won’t lie I was not always cool calm and collected.
Real tears were shed.
Butter melts.
At some points it felt like mission impossible…..
But I took a deep breath…several Infact and had to change things up.
5am and midnight 🌛piping sessions to try and beat the heat.
Flowers had to be switched up a little, placement had to be changed a little.
Cake structure had to be changed a little.
Delivery and set up had to be changed to the evening minutes before scheduled cutting of the cake.
But I did it!
Thanks to my family for putting up with a very stressed me.
