Garden VE Day picnic with fresh scones, homemade raspberry jam, strawberry jam and softly whipped cream.

With homemade elderflower cordial the kids made on the side - delicious!

Had an amazing zoom chat with my parents who told the kids all about their VE Day experiences which really brought meaningfulness to the day for us all.

Thank you for the orders. Now that I know I’m going to have three kids under my feet etc I am just figuring out how best to work but I will endeavour to fit in some care package slots each week depending on what ingredients I can get hold of and I’ll let you know!

Amongst sad and worrying times, I wanted to try to offer up a little cheer with postal foodie care boxes that can be sent with a hand-written note to someone who might appreciate knowing that they are being thought of.

The boxes fit through the letter box and I want to reassure you that everything is baked, as always, with all health & hygiene measures taken.

I’ve priced the boxes as low as I can so that they are hopefully affordable to all, whilst covering the high-quality ingredients costs I use. Each box is £18 + £3.55 p&p.

Had so much fun making this rock-climbing themed birthday cake today.

Full chocolate goodness covered in chocolate ganache and with rock-climbing wall shards made from caramelised white chocolate which was a really fun new thing to make.
