Celebrate Country cake design

After a lovely couple of days off, including a fantastic day at HOYS yesterday with family, it’s back to work!

We were there to watch a horse my sister bred compete in a very strong Side Saddle class — and she came away with a brilliant 8th place after qualifying over the summer. Such a proud moment!

Now it’s back to the cakes and getting ready for a very busy run-up to Christmas.

If you’re looking for a cake for this year and haven’t booked yet, please do get in touch this coming week. December is already busy with weddings, Christmas orders, birthdays and anniversaries, so availability is becoming limited.

Email or phone with your initial enquiry to check whether I have availability, and then we can chat through your ideas in more detail.

I absolutely LOVE hearing your ideas and creating something unique for you. But please do bear in mind that all the decorations on my cakes are handmade, which makes them very time-consuming to create.

If you’re looking for a cake shaped like something in particular, these can take even longer. They require plenty of planning and thought about the best way to construct them before I’ve even started baking! Some designs also need internal supports to be made well in advance of baking.

So, if you have an idea in mind, don’t leave it too late — I’d love to hear from you!

I know I’ve mentioned Christmas already… but there’s a very good reason!

My rich fruit cakes need time to mature, which means now is the perfect time to get your Christmas cake ordered and put away to develop all those wonderful flavours ready for your celebrations.

For now, all I need from you is the shape and size of the cake you’d like. I can then get batch baking and safely tuck your cake away to mature while you take your time deciding how you’d like it decorated.

So, if you’d like one of my handmade rich fruit cakes on your Christmas table this year, now is the time to order!
