CREATIVE EXPERIENCE.

One of my favourites from last year .events (slowly catching up…) V&A wanted a botanical, tropical vibe so off I went searching for dragonfruit’s (which turned out to be pink inside!), grew some variegated nasturtiums & nigella (Yep) and got all the rest from - fire feather, monkey, paradise and snapdragons. I don’t usually do stencils but this one was cool (code for - stressful).

I knew the rough theme they were going for but never spoke to their florist and never got a colour palette image beforehand - I knew from creative experience what would work well for their cake - V&A trusted me to bring their vision to life. It wasn’t until I walked into the room to set up, just how accurately I had captured their brief - with the cake colours blending seamlessly with their flowers by

Unlike some “cake designers” (I use inverted commas because I AM NOT A CAKE DESIGNER) I don’t provide sketches. I work within (sometimes limited!) boundaries and my clients trust me to capture their brief and execute their ideas using my experience and what I think will work. Clients work with me because it’s stress free - leave the details to me.
