😂 Things you would NEVER catch me making or selling! 😂

I might be a baker... but there are some things I know to stay well away from! 🙈

🥐 Anything involving pastry — Sorry guys, I’ve tried and tried, but it’s just NOT for me! 😂 I ruin it every time. There is definitely an art to pastry... an art that I very clearly do not possess!

🍰 Cheesecakes — I KNOW I get asked for these a lot! Aside from fridge space being an issue, I made one once and it was a sloppy mess. 🤦‍♀️ That experience has quite frankly put me off for life. 😂

🍞 Bread — Again... not my forte! There’s a definite skill and art to making a good loaf of gluten-free bread and, well... I’ll happily admit I don't have it! 😂

BUT...

Do you know what I CAN do?

🎂 CAKE. Lots and lots of luscious CAKE. 😍😂

And I think I’ll stick to what I’m good at! 💜

🎂 Why do I celebrate my business birthday? 🎂

Because it’s more than just a date. It’s a reminder of the day I decided to take a chance and turn an idea into something real. 💜

When I started The Gluten Free Cakery, I had so many doubts about whether I could actually do it. And, if I’m completely truthful, quite a lot of people told me I couldn’t...

But I did. And I am. 🥰

It reminds me how far I’ve come — from those first bakes, to the late nights, the mistakes (they still happen), the learning curves, the stressful moments and everything in between. And I’m genuinely proud of what I’ve built.

And then there’s YOU. Every order, every share, every recommendation, every lovely review and every person who comes back for more has helped my little business keep going. I wouldn’t still be here without you. 💜

Don’t get me wrong... I wish it was busier at times. I wish more “influencers” would support my little business in the way they support others. But they don’t — and really, that’s okay. Because the support I get from my actual customers means far more to me. 🥰

Small businesses deserve to celebrate their milestones too. Behind every cake is a ridiculous amount of work, passion, stress, washing up 😂 and love.

And finally...

I like cake. 😂🎂

So yes, I’ll celebrate my business birthday every single year. 🥳

My absolute favourite time of year is finally here! 😍

Crisp leaves 🍁, cosy jumpers, cold mornings, Halloween 🎃 and then before we know it...CHRISTMAS! 🎄✨

I'm choosing to completely ignore the rain though... nobody invited that. 😂☔

And of course, the best part — all the Autumn and Christmas cake flavours are coming! 🤤🍰
