Hi folks, we have rearranged some of our furniture to suit the new rule of ‘keep it in the family’ allowing smaller, single household groups who wish to venture out. And for the really adventurous we have set up tables outside.
Good coffee, great teas, lemon cake and treacle flapjacks and a lot more 😊 see you soon.

To all our friends and customers, in light of the current social distancing rules etc. We have found it very difficult to configure the small spaces that are our kitchen and toilet facilities whilst adhering to Government guideline. At best we could accommodate around a dozen guests at any given time. Given that we would need two members of staff at all times in order to maintain the cleaning and sanitising standards expected this would not be financially viable.
We have come to the sad conclusion that we will not be able to re-open until the current restrictions are eased.
We look forward to seeing you all as soon as possible.
Stay safe and well,
Anna and the team

Glossop Breast Cancer Support Group would like to thank Marcus and Anna for hosting our meetings for the past 5 years😁
Visited the Coffee Shop at Wimberry Hill a couple of days ago and was so disappointed. Love this little garden centre and have visited cafe a couple of times. Sad to see it so run down and generally grubby. Had lemon cake and coffee which both were substandard. Asked if they served flat white coffee as it wasn’t on menu. The coffee that arrived was milky, weak coffee which I left and cake had strange flavour. Didn’t have heart to complain as the lady who runs it is lovely and seemed a bit harassed.
My wife and I were traveling through the area one day last week and we decided to call here for a quick lunch. We asked for two beef sandwiches and two glasses of ice water, it was around 32 degrees that day and we were both hot and feeling a little dehydrated. We were told they do not have ice - ever. I am amazed that no one ever asked for ice before let alone on such a hot day. Anyway we were given two glasses of tepid water and we sat down to wait for our lunch. after 15 minutes (the cafe was not busy with only us and one other person in at the time), our sandwiches arrived. Two slices of shop bought bread containing a single slice of the thinnest cut of beef I had ever seen. So thin I could not taste it at all. I asked if this was the standard sandwich and the girl turned her back and walked away without answering. We were too hungry to argue so we ate the sandwich. Upon leaving I asked to see the manager or supervisor and was told I could not, so I politely asked the girl how they justified charging 4.20 for a such a pathetic sandwich. She told me it was not her problem she did not set the prices or the menu. I politely asked to speak to someone who did, and again was told I could not. To sum up, the food is massively overpriced and is served by rude disinterested staff. The food itself was so bad any restaurant cafe or even a roadside vendor would be ashamed to serve it. Without doubt one of the worst cafes I have ever visited,
Often call in with my Mum on the way back from our trips out, comfortable, warm friendly, great coffee and fruit teas. Cakes including gluten free are simply gorgeous.
