I do love a set of themed cupcakes! Today’s selection include cupcakes for a graduation as a vet surgeon, a hen party, starting school, a first birthday (bunnies galore), a 21st for golf playing twins and becoming a consultant anaesthetist with a neuro specialty hence the brain. I never thought I would be making an epidural needle for a cupcake! 😂

Everything is handmade by me from modelling paste and fondant. And yes, they take forever! Keeps me out of mischief. 😜

Some of my recent cakes - engagement, wedding and birthdays. I had to use the services of my in-house Lord of the Rings geek, sorry expert, for the engagement cake as I didn’t progress beyond The Hobbit!

The in-house LOTR expert then lost all his brownie points by driving over Edinburgh cobbles with the two tier floral cake in the car. Stress levels were high and I might have been a little bit shouty. It made it in one piece. I was a little shattered.

My next availability is the beginning of October when, hopefully, this hot weather will be a distant memory!

Some more of my favourites - Jellycats! The donkey isn’t a Jellycat, just a very well loved companion. My favourite is Scuba Egg - the guy with the flippers - but I do love them all.

Keep scrolling for a photo of some of my own collection (real ones, not cupcakes). And yes, I know….I’m a grown woman but I just can’t resist their cute wee faces! I might work my through them all and make them in cupcake form. 😂

I do love making themed cupcakes! Jellycats, dentists, Lego, a police promotion and lots of favourite things today. All handmade and edible. And the edible printer is behaving itself! 🎉🎉🎉. I’ve probably just jinxed that.

What a hot and sweaty week this has been! NOT good for buttercream flowers but I soldiered on. My portable air conditioning unit tried its very best but it was a struggle.

This was a 12 cupcake bouquet to celebrate a ruby wedding anniversary. Piped on the hottest day of the year so far which is why the buttercream has a bit of a shine. I was very shiny! 🥵

Roll on the rain and cold wind which must be due any day! 😜

Buttercream cakes today! Flowers and vintage piping or a mix of the two. Glad I don’t have any of those this week as it’s to be scorchio!

Had a great couple of days teaching a lovely lady buttercream flowers and a large cake to put them on. The air con was on full blast today. We were freezing but the cakes were very happy bunnies.
