Saturday // Pipe Down!

Now that I’m working with buttcream a lot more, I’ve had to come right out my comfort zone & start piping. I’m the fondant sharp edges guy, not the pattern guy, but yeah. Trying to be the pattern guy now! ✌🏻

This cake was actually a wee surprise gender reveal inside which was super cute too!

Since I’m just back working on building up the old portfolio again, I’m relying on memories to keep the socials going for now!

Here’s one I made four years ago for the lovely Bella’s birthday! I had zero idea what TikTok was back then, or that four years later I’d use it to watch Alexander from the Traitors sing backwards constantly, but here we are. 😅

Those edges though. 👌🏻

I also need to get better at hashtags, but today is not the morning for it.

FEB 3RD //

Today is our wee boy’s 10th birthday & I came across this cake from his 6th birthday in my memories, so thought I’d share it. It was during lockdown, so the majority of this was filled with polystyrene dummies, but the 2nd tier (Cactus Jack tier) was a red velvet & chocolate cake checkerboard sponge inside to look like his famous lumberjack shirt!

I’ve been quiet on the cake side for a while now - Working two jobs & being a mum meant I couldn’t take much else on, but I start a new job tomorrow at the lovely & I cannot wait!

I also have a couple cakes booked in for this weekend & I am opening up the old books for orders again now that I will have more time to commit to cakes! Share far & wide!

So, exactly ten years in from being a mum & we’re off to fresh starts & looking forward to the future! 🧁✌🏻

Afternoon lovelies!

As always, my work life/mum life/life in general balance has been all off therefore I’ve not been taking any new orders (or photos) of cakes recently.

I was hoping to maybe come back for Christmas & do some festive treats & I have a head full of ideas, but sadly I just don’t have a realistic timeframe for it at the moment & therefore I’m not going to take any Christmas orders this year.

I am starting to work on a wee project with a friend over the next few weeks/months & once we see how that is I can obv let you in on it, but until then…🤫🤫🤫

So yeah. Sorry for radio silence & I do hope to have my life together in the start of the New Year 😅
