🩷 Proud Moment! 🩷

A few weeks ago I had a surprise email from The Wedding Industry Awards to inform me that I had been nominated for an award by one of my wonderful couples for the wedding cake I made for them last year! 🥹

To say I was shocked was an understatement, I could not believe it! I messaged Josie immediately to thank her and was actually so emotional speaking to her.

Im forever grateful for the couples that put their trust in me to bring their vision to life for their special day, making wedding cakes is my favourite thing to do as I love the whole process.

Thank you to all of the amazing couples who have asked me to make their cakes over the years 🩷

This delicate vintage wedding cake was actually a whopping 12” and 10” two tier beauty, each with 3 thick layers of soft red velvet sponge! It was so heavy I had to drive right up to the gorgeous glass pavilion at St Hilda’s College where the reception was being held and quickly get it set up!

I don’t do many carved cakes but I was excited to give this a go!

The coffee pot was a reference to the birthday girls favourite coffee, and I think they were pleased with it!

Inside is 2 layers of coffee and walnut sponge filled with coffee buttercream, along with 2 layers of chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream. It was carved then covered in a chocolate ganache before being covered in fondant icing.

Was really fun to make and pushed me out of my comfort zone!

Can I make my favourite style cake with a K-pop Demon Hunters theme? Absolutely! An 8” chocolate heart with vintage piping and edible prints of the characters, and some sparkle and disco balls to give it that pop! 🪩💜 10 matching cake lollies to go with it too! This theme has blown up so it was nice to put a different spin on it!

Good Evening All!

I haven’t updated my availability in a while so thought I’d let you all know what the next few months look like.

I am now fully booked until the beginning of June, for all types of bakes. Slots will be available from the 1st June onwards.

June, July and August have limited availability due to having a number of events booked in, lots of family birthdays and besties weddings, and also being the summer holidays.

I am closed for 2 weeks from the 7th September. Slots will be available from the 22nd September onwards.

In the next few months I will be making some big changes to the business. I have been running on empty for a while now without prioritising my family and my own health. I will be removing certain options and will be concentrating on others more.

Unfortunately, prices will start increasing slowly to allow for the continuous rise in running costs. It’s not something I do lightly but is necessary to ensure I can continue.

There will also be a minimum delivery charge for all deliveries, including local deliveries. I already charge a fee for deliveries outside of the local area, but I can no longer absorb the cost of fuel for the local deliveries, especially with the recent increase in fuel prices.

I had the absolute pleasure of making this beautiful cake for the lovely Dan and Tiff this weekend for their wedding at Cogges Manor Farm.

A small 3 tier cake consisting of an 8” Victoria sponge bottom tier, a 6” coconut sponge middle tier and a 4” chocolate orange top tier.
Covered and hand piped in a creamy vanilla buttercream and decorated with fondant flowers in shades of blue to match the wedding theme.

I’m so happy with this cake, a new favourite for me!

The birthday girl’s favourite treat is a millionaire square, so we went with the bottom layer of sponge in vanilla, with a vanilla buttercream and salted caramel filling, and a top layer of sponge in chocolate.
With a base of vanilla pastel pink buttercream, boom 💥 in cake the colours in bright pink, orange, peach and yellow in vintage piping.

One of my favourite versions of the vintage heart cake I’ve ever made!

Would you just look at the rainbow 🌈 ruffles on this! 😍😍😍

Inside is a rich chocolate sponge filled with a chocolate fudge buttercream, covered and piped with a creamy vanilla buttercream icing.

Frills and swirls for days, with pretty little bows 🎀 and shiny little stars, for for the birthday princess!
