Cake prices!
People are often SHOCKED when they are quoted a price for a cake. Unless you have made any yourself, or know someone who does, then it’s hard to imagine how much it all costs.
Here is a picture of a cake board, a box the same size, and a ribbon to go around the board. These 3 things came to £10. That’s before you even started on the actual cake itself, the ganache, the icing, and the hours it takes to make.
Don’t be alarmed if the prices of cakes are more expensive than you think they’ll be, with prices going up everywhere, that’s only going to get worse.
This is not meant to be a scary post, or a particularly depressing one- more just a raising of awareness as I know that price is often what shocks people the most when it’s ‘just a cake!’ 😉
