Many years ago, I started my cake journey, not knowing I would one day be lucky enough to make my daughter’s dream wedding cake.
As a parent, there is a unique joy in being able to contribute to your child’s big day in such a meaningful way. Initially, we had been thinking there was absolutely no way this could be managed. How could I possibly stack and perfectly arrange all the sugar flowers in between having my hair and makeup done? Not to mention the amount of stress that had built up to the day of the wedding.
I have never been so nervous to make a cake – with a stomach full of stress and shaking hands I managed to put this beautiful cake together. Making her wedding cake wasn’t just a task; it was a privilege, an expression of a parent’s love, and a memory I’ll hold dear for a lifetime.
