Baby and Toddler group will be running again tomorrow morning! We will be on up to and including Tuesday 15th of December with the exception of Tuesday 13th of October when we will break for the school holidays.

🎉 YOUTH CLUBS 2026/27 REGISTRATION NIGHT 🎉

Parents, carers and young people are invited to attend our Youth Club Registration Night to secure a place for the upcoming year.

📅 Wednesday 2nd September 2026
🕡 6:30pm
📍 Ratho Community Centre

Spaces are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Youth Clubs Available:
🔹 Monday Club – P1 & P2
🔹 Tuesday Club – P3 & P4
🔹 Junior Youth Club – P5 to S1
🔹 Senior Youth Club – S2+

To secure a place, a parent or guardian should attend Registration Night and complete the required registration paperwork. Places will be confirmed once forms have been completed and returned.

If your children attend more than one club, we recommend having an adult available to register each child to avoid disappointment.

❗ Please note:
• Each adult may only register children from one household.
• When clubs reach capacity, names will be added to a waiting list.
• Places cannot be reserved in advance.

Our clubs are run by experienced youth workers and offer a fun, welcoming environment with games, sports, arts and crafts, trips, activities and opportunities to make new friends.

⭐️ Ratho Baby and Toddler Group will be running again tomorrow, 10am-12pm at the Community Centre. It was lovely to see some new faces last week 😃

⭐️ Tomorrow we will have our brand new softplay equipment out as well as our full range of toys suitable for babies all the way up to pre-schoolers!

⭐️ All welcome, no booking required.

🌻🌼 What a fantastic day at the very first Ratho Village Horticultural Show! 🌼🌻

A huge thank you to everyone who entered, visited, judged, volunteered, baked, grew, crafted, and helped make our first show such a success.

We were amazed by the quality and variety of entries on display. From beautiful flowers and home-grown produce to baking, crafts, and photography, it was clear just how much talent we have within our village. Congratulations to all of our winners and rosette recipients – and to everyone who entered. It takes confidence to put your creations on display, and you all helped make the event something special.

📸 Here are just some of the fantastic entries from the day. The standard was incredibly high, and the judges certainly had some difficult decisions to make!

We hope this is just the beginning. Whether you're an experienced gardener, a keen baker, a budding photographer, or simply fancy having a go, we'd love to see even more entries next year. The show is about celebrating our village, sharing skills, and having fun together.

Thank you, Ratho, for supporting our first Horticultural Show. We can't wait to make next year's event even bigger and better!

⭐️ Ratho Baby and Toddler Group returns tomorrow morning (18th Aug), 10am-12pm at Ratho Community Centre!

⭐️ This group runs every Tuesday between 10am and 12pm and is open to all children aged 0-5 years and their parents/carers.

⭐️ We have lots of toys and equipment from bouncy chairs and sensory toys for the wee ones to ride on vehicles for the older kids as well as tea and coffee for the grown-ups.

⭐️ 50p for members of the community centre and £1 for non-members. Please ask at the community centre office if you would like to become a member.

We would love to see you there and please spread the word as it's great to have a group like this in Ratho!

🌻🎨 Children's Horticultural Show Workshop – Come Create Your Entry! 🎨🌻

As this is the very first Ratho Village Horticultural Show, we'd love to see lots of local children taking part!

Would your child like to enter but not sure what to make? Join us for a fun Children's Entry-Making Session where children can create an entry ready for the show for Free!

There will be opportunities to create entries suitable for categories such as:

🌱 Decorated Flowerpot
🥕 Character Made from a Vegetable
🏡 Mini Garden in a Tray
🎨 Nature or Garden-Themed Painting
😄 Plant or Vegetable Joke

📅 Children's Workshop: Wednesday 19th August, 6:00pm – 7:30pm
📍 Ratho Community Centre
💷 FREE!
👧 Suitable for children in P1–S2

⭐ Every child attending will leave having at least one completed entry ready for the show.

Entries made during the workshop will be left at the Community Centre and displayed as part of the Ratho Village Horticultural Show on Saturday 22nd August. Children and their families are then invited to come along to the show to see their creations on display and find out how they get on.

No experience is needed and all abilities are welcome. It's a great opportunity for children to get creative, take part in a new community event, and help make our very first horticultural show a success.

If you are planning to attend, please comment below and let us know how many children will be coming along. This will help us make sure we have enough materials prepared for everyone.
