🤎 THANK YOU. 🤎

The Cake Cupboard doors are closed after our first weekend back, and I just wanted to say a massive thank you to every single person who came and bought something.

Whether you popped round for one little treat, filled a 4 for £10 box, came back for more, shared the menu, recommended me to someone or simply interacted with my posts, you helped support my little business. 🥹

There is SO much work that goes on behind the scenes of a Cake Cupboard weekend. The planning, shopping, baking, cutting, boxing, labelling and the kitchen that somehow looks like a chocolate-based natural disaster by the end of it 😂 But seeing things disappear from the cupboard makes it completely worth it.

After having some time away from the cupboard, it’s been lovely to bring it back and see you all enjoying it again.

And we’re doing it all over again…

🍂 TODAY’S CAKE CUPBOARD SPOTLIGHT: THE £2.50 GOODIES! 🍂

There’s a LOT of chocolate and caramel fighting for attention in the cupboard this weekend, so today I’m giving some love to our £2.50 treats 🤎

For just £2.50 each we have:

🫐 Lemon & Blueberry Scones
Big, chunky, packed with fresh blueberries and a little lemon running through them.

🧀 Cheese Scones
Golden, cheesy and perfect if you fancy something savoury amongst all the sugar!

🍎 Individual Apple Crumbles
Soft apple underneath a proper buttery crumble topping. Warm one up and add custard or ice cream and you’ve basically won Saturday.

I’m a little later opening today than planned because I’d completely forgotten just how much work goes into printing, checking and sticking ALLLLL those labels 😂 Apparently past-me conveniently erased that bit from my memory. Sorry to anyone who was waiting this morning! I promise I’ll be much better prepared next time!

⚽ A little break from the scheduled posts for one that left the kitchen this weekend!

This chocolate cake was made for Max, who plays for Ranby Football Club, so of course we had to go all-in on the football theme. 🧡🖤

Chocolate sponge inside, orange buttercream outside, with the Ranby Football Club badge taking centre stage, football details, trophy topper and a football-inspired design around the front.

I love being given a theme that means something to the birthday person and getting to turn it into cake!

Happy Birthday Max! 🥳⚽ Hope you had a brilliant day!

And would you believe it… THIS MEANS I AM OFFICIALLY CAUGHT UP WITH POSTING MY CAKES! 😂🎉

This one was giving proper old-school birthday party vibes, and I loved it!

A classic vanilla sponge, filled with jam and white chocolate buttercream, then covered in that gorgeous bright blue buttercream and finished with mini ice cream cones overflowing with buttercream and sprinkles. 🎂

Simple flavours, but definitely not a simple-looking cake! The little upside-down ice creams might be one of my favourite details. 🍦✨

I make cakes for all sorts of celebrations, from completely bespoke themed cakes to something a little simpler like this, so if you’ve got a birthday or celebration coming up, September orders are open. Just drop me a message with your date, number of servings and any ideas you have.

WE MADE IT! 😂🎂 The final cake from the backlog!

And just as well really, because there’s a brand new cake order being delivered tomorrow, so apparently the backlog is about to start all over again. 😂

This little beauty was for Fred’s 1st birthday 💙 and was completely dairy free.

🎂 Dairy-free vanilla sponges
🍓 Jam & dairy-free “cream” filling
🤍 Vanilla buttercream
🌈 Finished simply with colourful sprinkles and that gorgeous personalised Fred topper

I love that dietary requirements don’t mean a celebration cake has to look or feel like the “alternative” option. It can still be a proper birthday cake, layers, filling, buttercream and all. 🥰

And I got sent a picture of it at Fred’s birthday celebrations too, which I always LOVE seeing!

So that officially concludes the great cake-photo catch-up of 2026. 😂
