Harsh words but so true. Your 'accidental' litter because your unneutered, adult house cat got out of an open door, is the one of the reason so many rescues exist and are breaking point. No small rescue makes profit or pays wages to do what we do, we do it out of heart and insight into the cat crisis at the moment. There is absolutley no benefit or reason you shouldn't neuter your cats from kitten age, 1 litter isn't good for them, being in heat/ or spraying and yowling for females is no fun for you or your cat. Do the right thing, give rescues a break and please please, neuter your cats. 'Kitten season' has been the whole of 2024 for us, it's relentless. If you can't afford to neuter and chip a cat, please do not buy them for pennies from back street breeders! Any reputable rescue will neuter and chip, flea and worm their cats at the relevant age when adopted!! ๐
