IMPORTANT CAKE TRANSPORT, STORAGE INFORMATION & WARM WEATHER 🎂
All cakes are thoroughly checked before collection/delivery and leave in perfect condition. Once the cake has left my possession, responsibility for transport, storage, and handling passes to the customer.
Please read the following carefully to help keep your cake safe during transport:
• Cakes must be transported on a completely flat surface — the passenger footwell or flat boot space is recommended
• No objects, shopping bags, boxes, or other items should be placed around the cake box, as they may become dislodged during transport, fall onto the box, and damage the cake
• DO NOT place cakes on car seats
• DO NOT secure cakes with a seatbelt, as this can damage the cake and decorations
• It is not advised for passengers to hold heavier cakes, as movement and flexing of the cake board can cause cracking along the sides of the cake
• Please drive carefully and avoid sudden braking, sharp turns, potholes, and harsh acceleration, especially when approaching traffic lights or roundabouts
• Keep the vehicle cool — no heaters should be directed towards the cake, use Aircon where possible in warmer months
• Cakes must be kept out of direct sunlight and warm environments
• Buttercream cakes are extremely sensitive to heat and warm temperatures. If left at room temperature for extended periods, in direct sunlight, near heaters, or in extreme temperatures, they can soften, melt, and potentially collapse within a few hours or overnight
• If collecting your cake the day before your birthday or event, please ensure you have adequate fridge space available for safe storage
• Store cakes as advised upon collection
• If you do not feel confident transporting your multi tiered cake yourself, or do not have adequate space in your vehicle, please arrange delivery when booking in.
• Please ensure all non-edible decorations, toppers, dowels, and supports are removed before cutting and serving the cake
Unfortunately, I cannot accept responsibility for any damage that occurs once the cake has been collected/delivered and left my care.
