Love ‘em or dread ‘em - Novelty or license cakes are one of those cakes cake designers can relate to. They take up so much time and effort! I used to work as a graphic designer in children’s licensing and would dread designing pretty outfits only to see them turned into license items. No bueno! Eventually I learnt that there are ways to work around it and make it look pleasingly stylish. So like the cakes I make these days, I find inspiration from other cake designers and apply them to mine
