Chocolate cake heaven! 😋😋😋

A light moist double-layered chocolate sponge filled and covered with chocolate buttercream. Together with a dark chocolate ganache drip around the top and mini chocolate cookies adorning the base, whilst topped with Ferrero Rochers, Raffaellos, Lindt eggs, Malteasers, chocolate shards, chocolate-dipped strawberries with a Hotel Chocolat truffle in the centre…. This cake is pure indulgence.

Although I don’t bake as much as I used to, I loved making this one for a customer yesterday.

Another year passes, another year without you ….. all I have left our the cherished memories we made, of which I hold on to tightly in my heart.
My dearest oldest brother Ian.

So much has happened since you left. I wish you were here to talk to too. There are days when I could really do with a big brother hug and a large JDs, to put the world to rights, some crappy jokes and reassurance that everything will be ok, but I guess God had different plans for you 😢😢😢.

11 years ago, I was at Bournemouth beach with my husband and kids having a wonderful time celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. It was a beautiful day filled with happiness…….. until my phone rang. I remember it like it was yesterday….. I was told that Ian had passed away. With these words, my world suddenly broke. Nothing can prepare you for the rollercoaster of emotions that follow these words……..days, weeks, years pass, and still there is part of my heart missing 😢.

God decided your time was up and gave you your angel wings to fly high in heaven 😢 💔. Still missed everyday by us all. Never forgotten . Life is precious and too short to take it for granted..... So always live each day with no regrets and fill it with love and laughter with those that mean everything to you. Remember to tell them, and better still show them, just how much you love and care, because you never know if you will get another the opportunity again. Life is so unpredictable, so be patient, understanding, kind and generous with your love, thoughts and words. It can make a world of difference to everyone ❤️🙏❤️. May God bless you all ###

21 years ago today I took my wedding vows to the loveliest kindest most supportive man I know.... and it still remains true .... then, now, and always 😍😍###
