‘You’re making your own wedding cake!! 😲’

This was the reaction I would get every time someone asked who was making our wedding cake 😅. I’m not going to lie… yes I did begin to regret it two weeks before the wedding.

Weirdly, I felt the most pressure I have ever felt when making a cake. I knew all of our family and friends would scrutinise it and I was trying a technique I had never used before (or even practiced 🙈). But now I’m so so proud of that cake 🥹

I enjoy making cakes for all occasions; however, wedding cakes do have a particularly special place in my cake-making heart 🥰

Knowing that your creating something that will form a special part of a couple’s big day and hold sentimental value in photographs for years to come is a lovely feeling ☺️.
