Our Story

Rach, at the Nocturnal Baker, can turn her hand to anything from piped buttercream to 3D carved cakes. Her portfolio of past commissions clearly demonstrates this, making her cakes suitable for a range of occasions including birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and christenings. Whilst not baking, Rach also works as a primary school teacher, helps out on the family farm and is also a qualified mountain bike guide.

The Nocturnal Baker seed was planted whilst Rach was on maternity leave with her little boy through 2017/2018 when she set herself the challenge to see if she was able to put her skills from her degree in graphic design to good use in the cake decorating world... and here we are today!
