You probably won’t be surprised to hear that Millie & Ruby are my beautiful (if not a bit mad!) pet Border Collies. Millie is an 13 year old black & white traditional collie & Ruby is a 12 year old red & white collie. Ruby is very food orientated and a little hyperactive so I started baking her biscuits for training that didn't contain all the nasty additives etc that shop bought ones do. I develo

ped a range of homemade treats and biscuits that would help her train without becoming more hyperactive. Here at Millie & Ruby’s Bakery we are passionate about what we feed our dogs and cats and much research goes into the ingredients we use. We provide a range of handmade dog treats that are free from artificial additives, flavourings and colourings. We do not use sugars or salts and our treats are baked in such a way that we do not need to use preservatives either. We use Rye flour in most of our recipes which is wheat free and low in gluten. The oil we use is coconut oil which is good for coats, skin and digestion amongst many other health benefits. Most of our ingredients are organic and sourced locally where possible and we aim to make most of our treats as low fat as possible. No cocoa or theobromine is contained in our products as they are very harmful for dogs. All of our ingredients are of human food grade which means we would not feed anything to our animals that would not be fit for a human to eat. Because all of our biscuits are freshly baked without preservatives we recommend that you keep them in an airtight container, this way the will keep for longer. They will keep in an airtight container for up to 6 months (unless otherwise stated) & are able to be frozen for up to four months. Our treats are made by hand at our home based dog bakery which has undergone rigorous inspection by Trading Standards (GB193/717) and has been DEFRA approved as a petfood plant under the Animal By Products Regulations. ( U1200249/PET).

🐾🐾🐾I’m selling my Christmas toy stock as a job lot (will consider splitting) there’s over £800 (retail) worth of stock, mostly Kong brand but does include others, they are mostly dog toys but some cat toys are in there too (Kong).

I’m open to offers if any of my trade customers are interested, drop me a message. I’ll consider posting too at a cost.

🐾🐾🐾🐾Millie & Ruby’s is closing🐾🐾🐾🐾

After a very tough couple of years dealing with a personal matter I’ve been reevaluating both my personal and business life, after 12 years in business I have come to the very difficult decision to close the bakery side of the business. This is in part due to the current climate in business & rising costs etc but I’m also ready for a new challenge.

I will still be selling my & developing some new products in relation to this.

The bakery will close on 15th March, orders will be processed up to this date & until our stock runs out. If you need any orders it is advised to order early as I will be removing products once stock runs out.

🐾🐾🐶 We have some sad news today. After much deliberation we have made a decision to close our shop in Padiham. There are numerous reasons for this, the main one being that the lack of footfall is making it impossible to stay open, our online business is currently propping up the shop & it can’t continue to do so anymore. We have loved having a shop again & have met/made many new friends in Padiham both furry & human.
I also have some personal commitments that are taking up quite a lot of my time & juggling everything has become too much.
I do hope everyone understands, we will still be trading online & stocking our trade customers, anyone is more than welcome to stop by our unit in Accrington if they want to pick up anything (please message first)

Little Jasmine has popped in for some goodies already. We’ve added some strawberry tarts to our tarts range 😋 & some Black Pudding extra long sausages to our station Pupcake flavours are chocolate & cheese today (not together 🤣)
