A closer look at those beautiful handmade sugar orchids.

Each delicate white bloom was carefully handcrafted with striking orange and purple centres, creating a beautiful contrast against the crisp white tiers of the cake.

I love how the smallest details can make such a difference, especially when they’re made by hand, one petal at a time.

Has that actually just happened?! Cakes of Curiosity are FINALISTS in The Wedding Industry Awards 2027! I honestly can’t quite believe it and am still in utter shock!

I can’t thank all my lovely couples enough for taking the time to vote for me. I wouldn’t be here without you all, and your love and continued support means more to me than you could ever know.

A massive congratulations to all my wonderful supplier friends who have also reached the finals. You are all absolutely amazing, and it’s so lovely to see so much talent being recognised!

Now we have just over a month to wait until the awards ceremony… the excitement is real!

Another lovely review from one of my wonderful couples.

It was so lovely to first meet them at a wedding fair and hear how much they loved both the look and taste of my cakes. I was absolutely delighted when they chose me to create their wedding cake.

They opted for three different flavours, and I’m so pleased to hear that both they and their guests enjoyed every one! Knowing that their cake was talked about long after it had been cut is the best compliment.

Simple, elegant and timeless, with a beautiful autumnal touch.

This two-tier wedding cake is finished with a handmade sugar rose, delicate leaves and berries in warm orange and red tones, adding a subtle pop of colour and bringing warmth and depth to the design.

What a brilliant idea, and one I couldn’t resist sharing!

Kelly and Sasha loved the handmade sugar birds of paradise I created for their wedding cake so much that they decided to give them a life beyond the wedding day.

They’ve beautifully framed the sugar flowers and now have them proudly displayed on their wall for everyone to see.

I absolutely love that these little pieces of their wedding day can now become a lasting keepsake and reminder of such a special celebration.

This is exactly why I love creating handmade sugar flowers, they can be treasured long after the cake has been enjoyed.

Today is the final day to vote for Cakes of Curiosity in the Wedding Industry Awards, and I would absolutely love your support!

I’m so excited to have been put forward for this award and to have the chance to be recognised alongside so many talented wedding suppliers.

All of my wedding couples who ordered a cake from me between 1 October 2025 and today, 28 September 2026, are eligible to vote for Cakes of Curiosity.

A little look behind the scenes at the making of this truly unique wedding cake for the lovely Kelly and Sasha.

With its tall fondant wrap, intricate line detailing and embossed gold initials, this design was all about creating something completely personal to them.
Finished with one of my favourite statement sugar flowers, a handcrafted bird of paradise. It became a real showstopper for their beautiful wedding at the stunning Weddings at Kingston Bagpuize House

I love seeing all the individual details come together to create the finished cake.

A closer look at Esther & Dan’s beautiful wedding cake 🤍

This close-up really shows the fine details that can sometimes get lost in photographs — from the delicate fondant ruffles and floral detailing to the subtle texture across each tier.

The clear spacer adds height and a beautiful sense of lightness, allowing all those carefully crafted details to shine.

It was such a pleasure recreating a design they had fallen in love with and making it part of their special day at Wasing Park.

Congratulations to the lovely Esther and Dan, who celebrated their wedding at the beautiful @ in Aldermaston.

Esther and Dan loved one of my previous wedding cake designs so much that they chose to have something similar for their own celebration, with a few personal touches to make it completely theirs.

Their beautiful four-tier wedding cake featured delicate fondant ruffles and pretty floral detailing, complemented by a textured finish for a soft and elegant look. A clear spacer between the tiers added an extra element of interest and height, giving the overall design a lovely sense of lightness and movement.

I absolutely loved recreating this design for you both and making it part of your special day.
