Borders Bakeshop is a little bakery I run from my kitchen in Carnwath, South Lanarkshire (previously founded when I was living in the Borders - hence the name!). Baking up sweet treats to send anywhere within the United Kingdom. Each box is £16.95 for a selection of 8 baked goods. Postage is £7 (next day delivery via DPD) or it can be collected locally for free. An announcement of each weekly flav

our goes live on Saturday mornings at 10am. All you need to do to order is click through on the PayPal link that gets posted along with the flavour announcement. If you prefer to pay via bank transfer, comment bank transfer and relevant payment details will be messaged to you. Order announcements are posted on both Instagram and Facebook so it is first come, first served. Orders are posted out on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and DPD will email you the day before your delivery day notifying you which day your bakes will be sent out on.

Coming out of retirement for 1 day only for 2025! Ella has begged me to make an appearance at her school Christmas fair so if you are local, come along to Biggar High School on Thursday 4th December between 6-8pm. There will be brownies, marshmallows, fudge, truffles and stuffed cookies - in all your most loved flavours! So if you fancy getting your fix, pop down and say hey 👋 would love to see some of you!!

Thanks everyone for an amazing Gala Day again. I baked triple the amount this time and sold out of all the brownies, blondies and cookies and now have just these Marshmallow Packs left!

Lucky for you!! So if you live locally just drop me a comment or a message if you'd like to buy and you can collect from me for £8 or if you live UK wide I can post them first class on Monday to you for £12.99 (there is a PayPal link below for them). The great thing about my marshmallows is their super long shelf life, they last upto 8 weeks just stored in an airtight container or you can even pop some in the freezer and then they will last upto 3 months 👌
Perfect for toasting marshmallows in the garden on summer eves if this sun sticks around or if it doesn't then perfect for popping in your hot chocolates for the best melty froth ever!
Just comment Classic if you want the Nutella, Biscoff, Caramel & Coconut or comment fruity if you want the Raspberry, Lemon Meringue, Passion Fruit and Key Lime Pie flavours.

Thank you for all your love on the last post! It makes me so happy to hear people already have the date written in their diaries! Big apologies to all of you who don't live closer!
I'm bringing a new kid on the block next week, to please all the pb fans! and it's extra! This loaded Reese's choc chunk cookie bar starts with a Nutella infused chocolate cookie dough with white, milk, dark and peanut butter chips throughout... stuffed with a layer of creamy peanut butter and Reese's peanut butter cups and more Reese's peanut butter chips than you can shake a stick at! 🙌 I don't even like peanut butter and I wanted to face plant in this pan this morning at 8am because the smell coming off it was so epic! Keep your recommendations coming, there is still time for me to add one of your fave bakes on before the weekend!

Guess who's back, back again! For one day only - Borders Bakeshop will be making their annual appearance at the Carnwath Gala Day 🎉 (maybe don't tell your friends if you want to be in with a shot at getting your hands on some baked goods 😂) It will be on Saturday 22nd June at the football field on Biggar Rd, kicking off at 1pm! Remember last time I sold out before the event even began 🙈 so maybe come early to avoid being disappointed! I am baking my biggest bumper crop of bakes yet so fingers crossed it will be enough this time. Drop what flavours or bakes you would like to see in the comments below - can't wait to see you all you locals there, and to my further afield friends I hope we meet again one day but with the mini heart attack I had at the till at Costco after stocking up on ingredients I would say that's probably doubtful I'll be back in business anytime soon 😭😂

I have THE best customers! You blew me away...again! Even more so than last year! I had a 45 minute sellout 😱, which meant by the time everything was 'officially' kicking off at 1pm my stall was completely empty! I'm so sorry to those of you who missed out - I baked more than double what I had made last year and I guess it still wasn't enough! I had amazing customers who came from as far away as East Kilbride and even a lovely customer from Orkney who sent her daughter who lives in a nearby village on her behalf to get treats for the whole family - she even bought a box for her sister in law who lives in the Borders who she said loves our treats ❤️ It truly warms my heart to see how far reaching the love for these bakes spreads and I'm so glad you guys haven't forgotten me! Hope you enjoyed Gala Day and your treats and I will be back - even bigger, for next year!! 😘 (Sorry for the pics - I hadn't even set up my full stall properly before the crowds descended 🤣 so this was all I could get!)

So it's my birthday today 🎉 but I'm having the night off from baking since I've been doing it all week long for you guys 😘 The baking cupboard had been bare and barren for the last 9 months but boom - she's back! Stacked with all your fave treats - shout below if you see your flavour! Only 2 days to go til the big event! Remember Midday - Carnwath, the football field next to the bowling club and playpark (and where you will see all the fairground rides - you can't miss it!) You guys!

I am honestly so touched that you haven't stopped following along, that you still remember my bakes AND that you want to come and buy them on Carnwath's Gala Day - even if it means driving for hours to get to me! You are the sweetest customers ever 😘😘😘😘 so apologies, because I was very vague in my last post as I honestly just thought it was the residents of Carnwath who would be coming and they know all the Gala Day details already but I will post everything you need to know below of how to find me!

When: Sat 24th June (that's just 2 weeks now!)
Where: King George's Field, Carnwath (if you type in Carnwath bowling club to Google maps it will bring you right to the field which is beside the bowling club - you can park on any of the residential streets surrounding the field no probs)
Time: I will be there at my stall from Midday and aim to be there til at least 3pm but I sold out quicker than that last year so my advice would be come early to avoid disappointment!

There are also kids funfair rides and cute little sports day type races they can join in, with prizes! There is the crowning of the queen and a mini parade around the streets too.

So hopefully you're all a bit more clued in now. I whipped up these Toblerone and Nutella choc chip cookie bars for a BBQ we had with friends at the weekend - who thinks they need to make an appearance on the stall? 🙋🏼

Hey my lovely locals 👋 I have missed you all so much! Just dropping by to say that for one day only Borders Bakeshop will be back popping up at the Carnwath Gala Day 🎉🥳 This is your 4 week notice! So clear the calendar if you want to stop by and pick up the baked goods you have been missing! It is on Saturday June 24th and I will be back with DOUBLE the amount of bakes since you cleaned me out so quick last year 🤣 Drop me a comment below and let me know what bakes you are hoping to see or what flavours and I will do my very best to please you all 😘

There's been brownie boxes, DIY S'mores boxes and a s'mores flavour bake box this week! So it's all been going on! I sold a bumper crop of 32 boxes which is the most I've sold in months so a massive thank you for all your support.

I also sold some masterclasses today so a reminder that these are still available to purchase if you are interested in learning how to bake these treats for yourself! Brownie, marshmallow and cookie stick recordings and recipe booklets available. I could also put a fudge or truffle recipe booklet together incase there is any interest for that, comment below if there is or send me a DM.

I'm really so sad to be hanging up my apron! 😭 I wish it hadn't come to this, but unfortunately it's just the times we are living in. Baking brings me so much joy, which in turn has brought you all joy, and seeing your joy to the bakes brings me even more joy!! 😂 So let's just say working for the AA call centre won't be bringing me that level of joy, but needs must 🙈

So for now it's not goodbye, but just see you later 😘

It's the last ever brownie box drop guys, sob sob 😢😢 so I wanted to bring back one of your best loved flavours - spread the love! All your favourite spreads doing what they do best, being stuffed and swirled into brownies and marshmallows!

So here's what the 'Spread the Love' box includes:
2 of these Kinderella & Kinder Bueno Stuffed Brownies you all know and love
2 x Nutella & Guylain Stuffed Brownies
2 x Peanut Butter Cup Stuffed Brownies
4 x Mini Biscoff Infused Marshmallows

Happy Wednesday! Thank you to everyone who has reached out over the last few weeks with message of support and appreciation. I've honestly felt more emotional than I anticipated this week. I'm so sad to be giving up a job that I love so much, for the bakes which I enjoy making so much, the ideas and flavours that I love to develop and create, for the fun packaging and way I get to gift these to others on your behalf but mostly for all of you! I have made so many amazing friends through this and I'm truly grateful for all of you.
