Love is... baking something cute for a good cause.

These cute hedgehog macarons will be tomorrow where I'll be raising money and awareness for - an amazing local rescue run by volunteers doing great work to help our spiky friends.

Love is… Dominican cocoa mini madeleines 🇩🇲

In Dominica, mornings begin with cocoa tea 🍵 made from traditional cocoa sticks infused with cinnamon, bay leaf, and nutmeg. We had it every day for breakfast, and it even made the most incredible mocha when mixed with a little coffee.

The flavour is subtle and unique—so of course I brought some home to play with.

Here’s my first experiment: soft, melt‑in‑your‑mouth madeleines infused with that gently spiced Dominican cocoa.

Love is... helping the quiet heroes do their work, saving one life at a time 🦔💛

Thanks to your support, I was able to share a portion of our profits with Herbie Hedgehog Rescue — a small but mighty charity run by my lovely, selfless friend and her team who’s been quietly changing lives one snuffly snout at a time.

Their thank-you post means a lot — but truly, it’s their work we should all be thankful for. The care, the late nights, the gentle hands... it’s heroic.

Please take a moment to follow their journey, learn more about how to protect our spiky friends, and help ensure fewer hedgehogs ever need rescuing. 🌿🫶

Love is... the quiet spark that grows into something real ✨

A year ago, I spent a couple of unforgettable days learning from the incredible .patisserie
That experience planted the first seeds 🌱 of what would become Love is Vegan Treats.

The women I met were truly inspirational—skilled, generous, and full of heart 💚. Being surrounded by that kind of energy made me feel like I belonged, and the confidence that I could do something of my own 🌟.
