Barbie/pink themed surprise birthday cake. All meringues made by myself. Barbie was from the client. And after a sterilisation she was able to sit happily on top of her pink meringue and lindt truffle bed.

As we are approaching warmer weather and wedding season I'm getting a lot more enquiries about flowers on cakes.
Above are some lists for Toxic flowers that must never be placed on cakes and I will always find an alternative for you whether it be a similar looking flower, a faux version of this flower or a sugar version of this flower made by myself!
Then we have contact safe flowers. These can be placed on cakes if they are handled correctly. So no pesticides used on these plants, thus making them safe to be in contact with your beautiful cakes.
Then we have edible flowers. These must be purchased from a reputable food safe stockist. Meaning they are grown and handled correctly to be able to be edible.

All flowers whether it sugar, faux, contact safe or edible must be placed on cakes following the FSA rules and regulations.

This can all be a little overwhelming when planning a cake. I've 17 years experience as a cake decorator so please, pick my brains anytime on this. I'm here to guide you and to help you when planning your special occasion.
