Our Scottish bakery is based 20 minutes outside Glasgow in a tiny place called Quarriers Village. We used to run a busy cafe from our Quarriers premises, plus another cafe in Killearn and a takeaway shop in Glasgow's West End. In the aftermath of the Covid pandemic we decided to "pivot" our business to make it more family friendly - we have eight children between us and realised during the Covid

shutdown that we had built a business that didn't allow us enough time with our kids. We now operate purely as a bakery - selling postal Cake Gift Boxes via our wesbite; visiting Farmer's Markets across Central Scotland and supplying wholesale cakes to other cafes, shops & restaurants🍰 Most importantly, we've found a better life/ work balance as working Mums💖. We have a great tradition at the bakery (started by our bakery manager Roisin, thank you Ro 🙏🏻) where you get to request ANY cake for your birthday. For most people this is a tough choice - how do you choose when you have every cake under the sun to choose from 😵‍💫😵‍💫 It was Gill’s birthday this week and it was an easy decision for her - Victoria sponge with jam and fresh cream (and strawberries on the side). This has been her choice for the last 3 years (since the tradition started) and she says it will be the same until the day she dies 🤣🤣🤣 Happy Birthday Gill 😍😍

s there a secret about Toffee Apple Crumble that I don’t know?? It’s one of our OG traybakes and it usually sells at a nice steady, but not earth shattering, pace. Until the last month where sales of it have doubled and put it into the “top selling” category. What’s going on?? We’ve always known it was delicious but seems the world is catching up! Top tip - try it hot with custard 😋
