Our Scottish bakery is based 20 minutes outside Glasgow in a tiny place called Quarriers Village. We used to run a busy cafe from our Quarriers premises, plus another cafe in Killearn and a takeaway shop in Glasgow's West End. In the aftermath of the Covid pandemic we decided to "pivot" our business to make it more family friendly - we have eight children between us and realised during the Covid shutdown that we had built a business that didn't allow us enough time with our kids. We now operate purely as a bakery - selling postal Cake Gift Boxes via our wesbite; visiting Farmer's Markets across Central Scotland and supplying wholesale cakes to other cafes, shops & restaurants🍰 Most importantly, we've found a better life/ work balance as working Mums💖. We’ve had two people in the last week, who live hundreds of miles away, email us asking if we’ll post them our millionaires crispy cake because they tasted it at an event we were at 🤗🥳🤩. We don’t currently sell our full-size traybakes on the website (we sell mini bites gift boxes)... but should we be offering a pick and mix traybake box??
