I’m not sure whether the challenges I have been facing are leading up to my pilgrimage walk in October are lessons, but the past few months have been difficult.
Still, I feel there comes a time when a woman no longer needs to compete, prove herself, or be louder to be seen.
She simply stays in her lane, tends to her own garden, and works inwardly. She becomes more honest, peaceful, and protective of her energy.
With age, I notice what can not be spoken. I sense what feels genuine, who wishes me well, and who does not. I no longer feel the need to confront everything. I simply see it and let it be.
Wisdom teaches us that not everything needs a reaction. Sometimes, awareness is enough. Sometimes, self-respect means choosing where to be physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
I would rather become more of who I am than compete over who I should be. I trust the right people will recognise my worth without needing me to prove it.
Here’s to the quiet women: those who do not need to be the loudest, whose wisdom is felt before it is heard, and who know that softness is not weakness.
Most of all, here’s to women who cheer for other women who celebrate beauty, strength, and worth without comparison or competition.
Let’s not be drawn into believing that gossip and loudness are how we win. Let’s take accountability for our wrongdoings and treat each other with kindness.
A woman’s character is often revealed not by what she says about herself but by how she makes other women feel.
May we make space, not hierarchy, and celebrate one another with kindness.
There is enough light for all of us.
Love to you all.
