Its that time again, the annual clipping season broadcast of requests to save my sanity!
𫧠please please please have horses as clean as possible ready for clipping. I know the time of year, and available facilities dont always allow, but a full bath in the days running up to it is ideal. But thoroughly brushed, clean and dry is the most vital.
Dirty hair is hard to clip, its uncomfortable for your horse, will give you a bad finish and will damage my equipment. Its now around Β£50 for a new set of blades, Β£10 to sharpen, and easily up to Β£100+ to replace batteries or motors that have worn out. I havnt raised prices for some time as I want to stay as affordable as possible for all my regulars, please help keep it that way for as long as we can!
β οΈ Please be honest. If your horse is new to clipping, you've never witnessed it clipped so dont know, nervous, or known to be difficult. Please be honest! Im happy to clip young, nervous or tricky horses. Im more than happy to coordinate with vets to clip under sedation, or have them under oral sedation by yourselves. But please just let me know what to expect.
π im not currently taking on new yards/clients. But am happy to do horses on existing yards, or new horses with existing clients π
