The Wobbly Cake Co.

The Wobbly Cake Co. Where delicious meets delightfully imperfect. Founded by artisan baker Zak, we believe that the best cakes are made with heart, not perfection.

Each bake is lovingly handcrafted—sometimes a little wobbly, always utterly delicious.

🎉🧁 Fifteen years of changing lives deserves cake. Quite a lot of cake, actually.

For CAP’s 15th Anniversary Celebration, The Wobbly Cake Co. had the honour of creating a rather ambitious edible support team: giant number cakes, Victoria Sponge cupcakes, gluten-free Victoria Sponge cupcakes, Carrot Cake cupcakes, gluten-free Carrot Cake cupcakes, and vegan Chocolate Cake cupcakes – all proudly wearing their little “15” badges like they were attending a very important cake conference.

Somewhere between the buttercream swirls, the edible toppers and the careful transport, these cakes collectively held approximately 15 years’ worth of celebration, gratitude and questionable levels of frosting enthusiasm.

Congratulations to everyone at CAP on reaching this remarkable milestone and for fifteen years of supporting individuals and families through practical help, hope and community. We’re delighted to have played a small part in the celebrations.

Now the only question remaining is whether the cakes survived longer than the speeches… 🎂

🚨🍓 EMERGENCY ALERT FROM THE RASPBERRY APPRECIATION SOCIETY 🍓🚨

A three-layer raspberry sponge cake has escaped from The Wobbly Cake Co. and is currently causing scenes wherever it goes.

Witnesses report dangerously generous quantities of freshly whipped cream, rivers of raspberry compote, and an alarming number of fresh raspberries perched on top like tiny edible bodyguards.

Experts estimate that this cake contains approximately 97% joy, 2% gravity-defying engineering, and 1% powdered sugar distributed strategically to make everyone nearby say, “Ooh, just a small slice…” before immediately requesting a second.

The cake itself has issued a brief statement:

“I regret nothing.”

🚚🥕🇬🇧 BREAKING NEWS FROM THE WOBBLY CAKE CO. TEST KITCHEN LOGISTICS DEPARTMENT 🇬🇧🥕🚚

This gluten-free carrot cake has officially begun its journey to London for the 2026 Great Taste Awards.

After extensive negotiations, several sternly worded emails, and a full risk assessment from the Carrot Council, the cake agreed to leave Sussex and present itself before the judges of the Guild of Fine Food.

Featuring layers of spiced gluten-free carrot cake, cream cheese frosting, and a generous scattering of pecan nuts, it has spent months training for this moment by sitting quietly on cooling racks and resisting the urge to be eaten.

Will it impress the judges? Will it make new friends? Will it demand first-class travel on the return journey?

Only time will tell.

Good luck, little cake. Try not to get distracted by London’s pigeons. 🥕🎂

🚨 HUMMINGBIRD ALERT 🚨

Tomorrow at Eggs to Apples Farm Shop, a rare migration event will occur when this three-layered gluten-free Hummingbird Cake arrives safely in the café.

Made with banana, pineapple, warm spices and generously populated with cream cheese frosting between every layer, this specimen has been carefully transported using our latest engineering breakthrough: The Anti-Pothole Device™ (patent pending, probably not).

Also known as “a plastic cake collar”, the device has been rigorously tested against Sussex roads, unexpected craters, minor tectonic activity and the occasional enthusiastic speed bump. Early results suggest the cake survived the journey with significantly fewer emotional support issues than the baker.

Available tomorrow while supplies last.

Please admire responsibly. Do not attempt to release it back into the wild.

The Wobbly Cake Co. has entered its experimental era.
Today’s scientific breakthrough: a carrot cake wearing a full lattice roof like it’s preparing for a Victorian greenhouse extension or trying to survive a Sussex hailstorm.

We’re not saying the carrot cake has become self-aware… but it has developed structural integrity, emotional depth, and what can only be described as “pastry anxiety”.

Underneath the woven carrot-fuelled architecture: spiced sponge, dangerously moist crumb, and enough cream cheese ambition to destabilise nearby tea supplies.

Honestly not sure if this is a cake, edible basket weaving, or an agricultural planning application.

Thank you .bakes for sending over this brilliant template! Prints beautifully on my thermal printer. So easy. Love it.

The Wobbly Cake Co. has once again ignored all reasonable guidance and produced a birthday spread consisting of:
• a dangerously soft light chocolate sponge cake stacked with freshly whipped cream thick enough to require planning permission, and
• scones so buttery they’ve caused at least three people to whisper “I’ll just have half” before immediately eating four.

Plain scones. Fruit scones. Giant clouds of cream. Powdered sugar drifting through the atmosphere like bakery fog. Absolute scenes.

Somewhere in Sussex, a teaspoon has snapped under emotional pressure.

Two gluten-free cakes have entered the suspension-testing phase of British road infrastructure.

This weekend at Eggs to Apples Farm Shop:
🍋 Gluten-free Lemon Curd Sponge
❤️ Gluten-free Red Velvet

Both baked fresh by The Wobbly Cake Co. and now fitted with experimental “anti-pothole containment technology” after Sussex roads turned one Victoria sponge into an unsolicited trifle somewhere near a roundabout.

The new plastic collar system has been carefully engineered to protect delicate buttercream from craters large enough to register with local aviation authorities. Early trials suggest the cakes now survive speed bumps, loose gravel, and at least one encounter with a tractor.

Flavour over perfection. Structural integrity over chaos. Mostly.

Tiny humans are turning one. Paw Patrol is clearly aware. Somewhere in the distance, Skye has commandeered the buttercream pipeline and declared a state of pink frosting emergency.

This Paw Patrol-themed 1st birthday cake for Bentley-Mae was baked by The Wobbly Cake Co. with clouds, sparkle, swirls, and enough sugar-powered optimism to launch a rescue mission directly into toddler chaos.

One candle. Zero calm. Full puppy patrol energy. 🐾🎂✨

Somewhere between civilisation and complete sponge-based collapse, the tables at The Yard Farmers’ Market have once again been claimed by butter, sugar and questionable levels of whipped optimism.

Today from 10–2pm, The Wobbly Cake Co. will be unleashing:
• Gluten-free Pineapple Upside Down Cake
• Gluten-free Lemon Crumb Cake
• Gluten-free Danish Dream Cake (Drømmekage)
• Gluten-free Cheese Scones
• Gluten-free Fruit Scones
• Mini Victoria Sponge Cakes
• Fruit Scones
• Cheese Scones

The pineapple cake is sticky enough to ruin relationships. The lemon crumb cake may cause emotional whistling. The Drømmekage has the energy of a Scandinavian grandmother quietly judging your life choices while handing you cake.

Meanwhile, the scones are sitting there pretending to be sensible. They are not sensible.

Find us .waterworksroad today before the Victoria sponges disappear into the hands of people who “were only popping in for a quick look.”
