Enquiring about your wedding cake should feel exciting, not overwhelming!

Here’s what you can expect when you get in touch with Lulu’s Primrose Bakery…

🤍 Step 1 – Get in touch and tell me all about your wedding date, venue, approximate guest numbers and the style of cake you’re dreaming of.

🤍 Step 2 – I’ll check my availability and prepare a bespoke quotation tailored to your celebration.

🤍 Step 3 – Once you’re happy to go ahead, your booking fee secures your wedding date in my diary.

🤍 Step 4 – Your wedding date is then exclusively reserved, giving you complete peace of mind while you continue planning your celebration.

🤍 Step 5 – Around four weeks before your wedding, we’ll finalise every last detail, including your cake flavours, design, fresh flowers and delivery arrangements. If you’re still deciding on flavours, you can order one of my Luxury Flavour Boxes via the website to enjoy at home.

🤍 Step 6 – Your cake is freshly baked, carefully handcrafted and delivered to your venue, where I’ll set it up ready for your celebration.

From your first enquiry to your wedding morning, my aim is to make the entire experience as seamless and enjoyable as possible, so you can simply look forward to celebrating.

The cake has been admired all day… now it’s time to enjoy it 🤍

I love seeing the bride and groom finally get a moment together to cut the cake. It’s always relaxed, full of smiles, and one of those parts of the day that feels completely natural, which is exactly why the photos are always so lovely!

A little glimpse of this beautifully intimate fusion wedding 🌸

My lovely couple chose a single buttercream cake decorated with a mix of fresh and pressed edible flowers, alongside individual mini cakes for their guests. Bright, colourful blooms gave everything a vibrant yet relaxed, romantic feel that suited the celebration perfectly. To complete the look, they also hired our Intimate Wedding Display Package, creating different heights and turning a simple dessert table into a real focal point. Sometimes it’s the styling that brings everything together.

A beautiful palette of pale blue and white, a much-loved Cockapoo peeking out to say “hello”, and 150 handmade wedding favours to complete the day. 🤍🩵

Yesterday’s wedding cake Sandy Cove Hotel was designed around Amy & Alex’s clear vision from the very beginning. A three-tier white fondant cake, created to serve all of their guests, finished with handmade sugar flowers including hydrangeas, roses, freesias, cosmos and delicate foliage in the softest shades of blue and white. One of my favourite details was their adorable Cockapoo, modelled by hand and tucked into the cake as a special tribute to a treasured member of the family. 🐾

Alongside the cake, I also created 150 personalised iced biscuit favours for guests to take home.

It was also lovely to see the venue beautifully dressed by Floral Art Devon Wedding & Event Florist for the South West - their stunning floral arrangements complemented the cake perfectly and brought the whole room together beautifully!

Many congratulations to the happy couple! Thank you for trusting me with such an important part of your day. It was a pleasure to bring your vision to life in one of the most beautiful settings in North Devon 💕

Swipe through to see the journey of Megan and Dougie’s wedding cake and a little glimpse into the process that brought it to life. From the first ideas we discussed, to the design sketch, the setup on the day, that all important cake cutting moment, and finally the kind words that followed afterwards. Seeing a design come to life is always special, but watching a couple enjoy it on their wedding day is the moment it all becomes real.

This beautiful cake cutting moment was captured by the wonderfully talented Tara Statton Photography and its photographs like these that remind me why I love what I do. Not just creating something beautiful, but being trusted to play a small part in such an important day. It was such a pleasure bringing Megan and Dougie’s vision to life from our very first conversation through to the wedding day itself.

This dessert setup included a small semi-naked cake with fresh flowers, white chocolate and raspberry meringue kisses, heart Jammie Dodgers and rich chocolate brownies, all packaged up in the prettiest blush pink boxes for the couple and their guests to enjoy.
