This is a statement on the impact that this has had on a member of the LWF community. They have asked to remain anonymous as they don’t want to receive any direct messages.

“I first came to watch the lwf at inspire youth zone there first installment of clash at the centre 1 I instantly fell in love with the promotion so did my family i then so they had an training academy and this is where I thrived this is where I found my second family I suffer from a series of mental health problems and paul dave lorna have always been there for me i could literally message paul and he would ring straight away no hassle even invite me round for a brew and a chat to me thats someone who understands mental health and someone who has time for others iv messaged dave the most random stuff not once have i ever been targeted or made fun off i understand some people have had there experience but mine as been nothing but positivity the temporary closing of the lwf is going to have a massive impact on my mental health as this was all I had this was my little escape im not using the mental health card im currently under the cmht have been since I was 14years old”

STATEMENT:

Yesterday we said we would make a statement about everything that has happened.

Within the LWF community there are people (wrestlers, characters, volunteers & most importantly, fans) that have had their support network taken away from them. These are people that have no involvement in the running of the LWF but relied on the community, shows and individuals to keep their mental health on track.

I personally have had nothing but amazing experiences with the LWF and all those involved. My family was always made to feel welcome from the moment we went to watch our first show until the most recent day. I have made amazing friends in this community and would encourage people to remember all of their own wonderful experiences with the LWF. If you would like to share these experiences with me personally, I would really appreciate it.

To most of those we have shared the ring with, the people that have attended the shows we’ve been on and those that have followed our journey on social media, thank you.

If this is the end, then it will be the end of the Baker Boys. Thank you and whatever you go on to do, make sure you do it with extra SPRINKLES!

What's that The LWF need ring announcers for this Saturday at Hesketh Bank? Who better than the Utility men of the LWF! Luckily Bradley has been getting some practice in 🎤 and Commissioner Ste Bibby has given him an early Christmas present.

So along with your favourite wrestlers, you'll get to see us! Let's see what fun the night brings!
