Hillmount Garden Centre is running a Cupcake weekend this weekend and I will be there to demonstrate and chat about the techniques of cupcake decoration tomorrow, Sun 11th between 2pm and 4pm, come and join the fun :)
Also...it's still not too late to book yourself into our Mothers day cake class :) Tues and Fri next week!!!

MOTHERS DAY CAKE DECORATING CLASS

Venue: Drumsallagh Cakes, Greenan Road, Loughbrickland.
Dates : Tuesday 13th March 10am - 1pm
Friday 16th March 6.30pm - 9.30pm
Price: £45
Skill level: Beginner
People per class: 6
Limited number of places so please book early!

With Mothers Day just around the corner, why not combine a beautiful (edible) personal gift with the challenge and satisfaction of learning a new skill. Drumsallagh Cakes is running 2 classes to bring out your creative side and to inspire you to learn much more.

During the class you will....

Prepare a 7inch round fruit cake for decoration.
Apply marzipan to the cake.
Top ice the cake with fondant icing.
Cover the cake board with fondant icing.
Colour fondant icing to make the flowers and buttons.
Use cutters to create your flowers and buttons.
Use royal icing to pipe simple detail onto buttons.
Apply your decorations onto the cake.
Add the finishing touches, ribbons, glitter etc.

You will go home with....

A beautiful personal gift.
Confidence in working with fondant icing, colours, cutters.
The desire to learn more!

All ingredients and equipment are provided. You do not have to bring anything with you. Tea/coffee and 'something' homemade will be provided.
